Default Applying ribbon to cards...inside?

Hello stampers,
I love the ribbon wrapped around the cards. Some of them appear to wrap around to the inside of the card. Is there anything done on the inside to hide them or are they exposed? I want to wrap a card I'm working on, but I'm not so sure I want it to show inside.

I just leave it exposed on the inside....sometimes I will tuck a gift card up under the exposed ribbon band.

Personally, I'm not crazy about it showing inside, so I usually wrap it around a layer on the front. Meaning, I just make a card front, then attach it to a base.

Here is a great video where this stamper shows how to do this very technique. I just love her blog!

Default Either way is good

:-D Sometimes I wrap it around a top layer of the front of the card, so it doesn't show inside...but sometimes if it's really a pretty ribbon I let it show...also- if you make an 'insert page', like from printing the inside verse on vellum, the yarn or ribbon makes a handy way to hold the inside to the outside. Hopefully this makes some sense

Have fun experimenting!

Typically I let it show on the insides but there are occasions when I'll make a cardfront and attach it to a base so that it doesn't show on the inside.

This is exactly what I do too.. I don't care for ribbon or brads/eyelets showing on the insides of my cards, so I don't ever have them there. Pam

I normally put my ribbon under my layers which I never put just one. I have sometimes tied it at the top of cards around or gold trim and i leave this exposed its on the top. I sometimes sew it on also which is a cute touch. You can never have enough ribbon on cards LOL - I won't/don't show eyelets or brads either.

Default thanks...

It looks like its 50/50... show/hide. Wow that youtube and the many others... I'llhave to go back and watch several of them. What an amazing place, this world wide web! Thanks for your opinions. I just need to plan ahead if I don't want ribbon to show on the inside.

It just depends on how many layers I have. Typically, on a single layer or card with only a small layer, I have no choice but to let it show. I will not let a brad show!

I am not a big fan of it showing on the insides either, plus I think it is a waste of ribbon...I do all my ribbon on the card front and attach to base.

I let it show, but you could make an insert to cover it (similar to the white insert you would make on a dark colored card for the sentiment).

I don't like it to show. If it's a last minute add on and I can't tuck it under the layers on the front, I'll add paper to the inside. I like a clean professional look on the inside so that also means that brads, eyelets, or other embellishment backs are not seen on the inside of the card. Cost just a few pennies more but its worth it.

 I don't mind ribbon showing on the inside because its still pretty and why cover up something that is pretty - but I always try to make certain that eyelets and brads are covered.

I don't like anything to show on the inside of my cards. If I only have 1 layer, I tape it down and trim the ends. Usually I have more than 1 layer, so I just wrap it around about 1/4" and tape it. I don't like to waste it!! I also NEVER let brads show on the inside.

I stamp on the card front and then use a white base. So this hides all the "junk" on the inside. I hope that makes sense!
