I have decided to stop buying paper for a while. I just have waaaay too much. I need to burn through at least 100-- maybe 200 sheets before I buy any more.
I realized this after I bought a bundle of paper on the clearance rack at HL. The bundle was full of duplicates. I'm talking 25 sheets of each pattern. What am I going to do with all of that?! LOL One thought is that I might make a few coordinating card sets for some friends.
I purged my stuff a few months ago and realized I still have way to much. What I really need is just more time to use it! So I am not allowing myself to purchase anything....very difficult at times.

When I was at Michaels yesterday to use my coupon for an ink pad I need (and yes I truly did need it) I was very tempted by the sale on scrapbook paper. If it's on sale I should get it, right? But I decided that I'm going to let myself get to a point where I'm nearly out of patterned paper before I buy one more sheet or kit. I did also buy some ribbon, however, because there are so many colors of ribbon that SU does not carry, and some are colors I use quite frequently. But beyond this $25 purchase, I'm not going to be buying anything for a while.

I haven't bought anything for 3 weeks. I put a Stop Buy on everything stamping as I felt I was getting out of hand. I have backups of so many supplies, way to much paper, and stamps I haven't used. I want to see how long I can hold out. But, I did have a little bit of shopping bliss because the Big Bite I ordered in Feb. finally came in. I've been keeping the coupons in case I have a weak moment, but so far I been able to just toss them.
I haven't used a Joannes or Michaels coupon in ages. I am staying away from the stores. But, I did just order a set of Nesties at ucutathome with a VIP coupon. Other than that, I am using my stash (and making a tiny dent...)
I have stopped by paper, stickers, die cuts and the like, ink pads, actually anything but stamps and a few more colors of prismacolor colored pencils to round out what I have making them more versatile. We moved to Europe recently and I would love to have stuff done and a lot less boxes come out of that room on the move back to the states.
Paper paper paper. I actually haven't even gone down the paper aisles the last few times I've gone to the stores. I have shelves full of it. I will buy cardstock, but that's it. I have waaaayy too much patterned paper.
100 sheets??? That's nothing! lol I think I have close to 1000-2000 sheets (probably more). I am giving away around 600 sheets to a relative too! Ribbon is out of control too. We won't go there, lol.
EVERYTHING!!! I have so much paper i don't think i'll ever use it all i have stamp sets that have not been used yet and with my rebate check i bought myself a cricut expression and 4 carts.. nedless to say.. i must stop buying!!!!
However when i was in Michaels today i had to have some new ribbon.. it was too cute to pass up... ;)
I went on a stop buy for everything for Lent. The only hard part was trying to figure out what to do for swaps I was in - because I couldn't go out and buy extra paper or embellies.
I've got a Stop Buy on anything non-essential to projects I am CURRENTLY working on. So yesterday I ordered a bottle of UnDu 'cause I'm currently trying to rescue my grandmother's photos from magnetic albums. But I will NOT be ordering from PTI on the 15th. I love that they don't discontinue stuff (at least not yet) so anything that I just love will still be there in a few months when our family recovers from an avalanche of unexpected bills and big ticket purchases in the past few months.
I said I would stop buying paper 3 weeks ago as I had so much....and then today I went to big lots and found 6x6 MM cute packs of paper and well walked out with 3 packs lol! I should stop going to Big Lots!
Paper isn't my problem...I run out of it too often. IT's stamps that are my problem! I have sets I have never used yet "can't live without that set", KWIM? I will use them all one day as I am making a binder with all my sets in it so I know what I have. This way they will all see at least a little ink!

i have TOO much paper!
early on in my stamping i bought so many of the DCWV stacks... and nothing really matches SU! so needless to say... i will prolly never use it all. so now i only but PP for specific projects or only SU!
i have like 200 or more spools of ribbon... but i don't think i could stop buying ribbon! i love love love ribbon and it IS my favorite embellishment. at least it gets used (unlike all that paper!)
