Have any of you tried to place a order for products and received the following message when I tried to purchase a STAMPERS ANONYMOUS stamp set that was in-stock at AMAZON at checkout...
Sorry, this item can't be shipped to your selected address. Learn more. You may either change the shipping address or delete the item from your order.
I called the help desk about the issue since my previous orders were delivered to me in CA without any problems. I was told the manufacturer has placed restrictions on WHERE THE PRODUCT CAN BE DELIVERED even though the item(s) are in-stock at AMAZON.
I'm curious to know if any of you have had that experience.
This happened to me too when I was trying to buy a stamp.
I wrote up a negative review on AMAZON and I sent a email to Stampers Anonymous about the experience.
Do they care, who knows... But at least I aired my disappointment.:(

I just received an email back from AMAZON about my review stating they would not post it, but I will share it with you...

Domestic Shipping
This item is available for shipping in the U.S. except for California and to select countries outside the U.S.
I posted my experience on my art group sites and plan on posting to many others. You should not be permitted to restrict any of the US addresses from delivery.
Editing...their website says they are in ohio. I was going to suggest restricting shipping in their home state for business purposes. But that's not the case.
It's also possible that SA made the mistake of checking a box inadvertently when listing on Amazon. But only they could say why.
Or because of one of California's "environmental regulations", shipping something into California that violates their "standards" may require more paperwork than it is worth.
Ugh, I looked up Stampendous. Mea culpa. But CA regs still could be the problem. I've come across items with packaging that stated the item couldn't be shipped there. Years ago I also inherited two gerbils who couldn't be taken into the state. : )
Bohodiva, would you want to put your review in the section for reviewing companies, since Amazon removes reviews that aren't about the actual product? If so, just select the company name and it should take you to their page.
I live in CA and I ordered SA/Tim Holtz stamps and dies and never received that message. It could be the seller that is restricting or like mentioned earlier, maybe CA was inadvertently checked when listing.
I have bought stamps from that same company but not bought from Amazon. SA has some really unique stamps and in fact sent me a free one i love when I ordered another one they didn't have in stock but found for me.
I did find a stamp of theirs on another site, under a different maker's name, so maybe there is an issue with a competitor.
In any case, CA regulations of every kind have reached the point of insanity, so anything is possible.

Reason: Added points
Is the stamp you want not available elsewhere, Bohodiva? Although of course if it's a problem with regulations then other places may also not ship it
I found the stamp set on Ebay from a US vendor, it was cheaper, and it will be shipped with no restrictions. I have seen SA stamps for sale in CA over the years at conventions... plus there are no restrictions on shipping if the order is placed with SA's site or their affiliate sites.
I'm still waiting for a response from SA. Once I do I will share the info.
Hi Sheila - Sorry for you frustration with Amazon. The restriction has been placed by Amazon, not by us. We have provided them with the required paperwork to get this removed, but it remains. I contacted then last Tuesday about the same issue, and the restriction remain. They have placed the restriction and only they can remove it. We receive orders from customers in California and ship them every day. We do not restrict who can purchase and where items can be delivered. That comes from Amazon. I will be on the phone with them again this morning. Again, sorry that you had trouble purchasing our products through Amazon. They are always available at StampersAnonymous.com and I promise we ship to California.
