Default Alternative to the Bind it All space bar

I just ordered the pink Bind it All, round it all, and plenty of o wire to play. Unfortunately, they were sold out of the space bar. Does anyone have any suggestions for something to use as a space bar until I can order one? Or do I really need the space bar? I plan on making some post-it note holders and have read that it is best to use the space bar when binding small o wires, such as the 3/8 in.

I appreciate any help!

When I first got my blue BIA, I cut a little sliver of fun foam to use as my own spacer, before they designed their spacer. It is just the right thickness for me. Worked perfectly with my 1/4" wires!

Thanks Jennifer. I think I will try that out.

Jennifer's idea of a Fun Foam strip was a great one! We've told tons of customers about that (thanks, Jennifer!)

You won't need the Fun Foam OR the space bar unless you want to use the tiny wires. No adjustment is needed for 1/2" wires and larger.

It's funny... when the BIA first came out, customers asked for the little bitty wires. After people used their BIAs for awhile, they realized that bigger is better. Now there's a shift in popularity towards the 1" and even 1-1/4" wires!

When we fill our books with interesting layers and dimensional embellishments, we need larger wires to accommodate the added thickness.

Default Bind-it-All Space Bar alternative

Hi Ladies,

This is just what I'm looking for. Can someone who has done this tell me how wide my "sliver" of fun foam should be? I have a boat load (LOL) of small wires and want to improve the way my pages turn.
