Default Which airbrush system?

I want to get my daughter an airbrush system for graduation. She's 14, and she uses Copics in her art work. Which system (Copic or other) would the experts recommend? She might want to use other media in the future, but I can upgrade later. Thanks!

I have the Sparmax and bought it from Oozak. I love that it is compatible with Copic Sketch. I don't have to do anything but put the pen in and spray.

As far as upgrade there isn't any upgrade to this.

They do have small systems that use cans of air. I didn't want to mess with that as I figured I'd do more and have to keep buying cans of air.

Here is a link: Oozak.com | COPIC | Airbrush System

I have a Harbor Freight Airbrush Compressor - 1/6 HP, 40 PSI with a copic adapter (Set 3) Copic Airbrush System - BLICK art materials The working pressure PSI is the important thing from what I remember.

There are some good reviews on the Harbor Freight site (I haven't had a leak problem with the Copic set up) about other things to look for to make this compressor better if you are looking for something more.

I use mine with Ciaos, no problem with just some padding and masking tape. If she is willing to wait a few more weeks, I think there were quite a few airbrush systems/holders at CHA that have different adapters where it wouldn't matter which markers because TBH most alcohol markers are alcohol markers.

If I were buying now I would want a marker holder that is more like the ones on the Spritzers that can adapt to any marker easily with either a sleeve or turn of a tightening screw. (heck, I think I will ask my engineering student)

I think I originally ordered my set 3 from Oozak and highly recommend Oozak for customer service. I also have had a great experience with Dick Blick too.

HTH

Harbor Freight do sales and coupons. I got mine for less than what is listed there.

Thanks, Tina. The airbrush system arrived yesterday. I went with the ABS-1N. She hasn't tried it out yet, but she is excited about it.
