Default 6x6 Albums

I decided to switch to 6x6 layouts for my scrapbooking/digiscrapping and I'm having a hard time finding nice and AFFORDABLE albums in this size. I know that SU sells some but I was wondering if you wonderful ladies have any other suggestions of places to find them. My M's had NOTHING in this size.

Also... what is the difference between post albums and D-ring albums? Is one better than the other?

Can you tell I am new to scrapping? It's a long way away from my card making!! TIA

ACMoore sells MBI 6x6 albums. Nothing special to look at, but I recover them to my own taste, so I don't really care what the "blank" looks like.

I don't know that I've ever seen a D ring 6x6 album. But in general, they're like the high school notebook in that you'll see the rings between every page. With a post bound album, the pages are held closer together, so the seam between them is much less noticeable. You can design a 2 page spread as 6x12 with a post bound album, leaving titles or even photos to bleed across the pages.

I really like the albums that American Crafts makes - check them out here. They're sold through many different sites (including Frugalities, so keep an eye out for their major discounts!). I prefer the D ring simply because I don't work in order, and I like that I can easily move pages around. I know it's possible with the postbound ones, too, but it's definitely a bigger hassle. HTH!

FYI - I actually use the 12x12 albums from AC, but do all different size layouts. You can see what I mean here. (Be patient, as it may take a little time to load, but I promise it's worth the wait!) I also love that they have the 8 1/2 x 11 size in both portrait and landscape. OK, commercial over!!

I use the American Crafts D ring albums also. For the same reasons Trish mentioned. I don't scrap in order and the D rings make it really easy to move things around. I bought my 6x6 at http://www.scrappingrannies.com.

Hmmm, I know Hobby Lobby carries them, but not sure if they have the 6x6. Do you have a HL?

Default Quick Question...

Can you fit more pages in the D-Ring albums?
Also do other brands of 12x12 page protectors fit in the albums?
