Default Who has a Milwaukee heat gun?

I don't have a a heat tool and want to try heat embossing. I read the "Milwaukee Heat gun" is good. Who has one and what is your opinion of it?
It seems to cost much more than the heat tools in the craft store , but I have found you usually get what you pay for.

Thanks
Barbara

They are the best. I'm pretty sure that is the co. which manufacturers SU's heat gun. So much longer lasting than the craft store models.

I have one, too. I got it years ago at my first home party from a PSX demonstrator when they were doing the consultant thing. (Of course, they put their own sticker on it, but the box itself has the Milwaukee name on it.) I haven't used it as much as some, but I have no complaints. I think I paid $20 for it about 10 years ago (?).

Wow they last 10-18 years. That is impressive

The name is Milwaukee Heat gun, are they made in the USA?

I am on a mission to buy USA made products "when I can". There are a lot of things that are great, but not made in the USA and I can't change that. But when I have a choice I choose the USA made products

Oh well I try to buy American
I will still buy one.
If I only bought American I would be naked living in a cardboard shanty town :(

I absolutely love my Milwaukee heat gun! I've had it for just about 10 years and it works as well as the day I bought it. And I can't tell you how many times I have dropped it on the floor - it is extremely durable!

Thanks very much I am going to save up and buy the Milwaukee heat gun.
I would rather wait a while to do embossing than buy a cheaper heat tool that may give out in a short time.

Barbara, they cost a little more, but in the long run, you'll save $. I've had my Milwaukee about 8 years and it still works like new. I've read so many times here on SCS how the cheaper heat guns just do not last. Mine came from Michaels but, since then, they've switched to the *cheepies*. A while after I got mine, my DD used it and loved embossing so I ordered her a Milwaukee online. May God bless, Sandi

Sandi those are exactly my thoughts. It is frustrating to need to buy the same things over and over because they don't last.

I've had my for over close to 15 years, too and it's probably one of the best tools that I've bought. It's very durable and heats up really fast.

I love my Milwaukee heat gun. Mine came from Hero Arts. My LSS got it for me and now stock it too.

I've had mine for 15+ years and it still works perfectly. IMHO you can't go wrong with one of these.
