What's wrong with it? I haven't received any bad WW lately. Are you a demo, or can the demo you ordered through call Demonstrator Support? They may very well send you replacement product - certainly if it is defective!
I ordered the 81/2 x 11..it is much thinner than the the first order i got..demo said it was a bit different..but i noticed from the few old sheets i have it is definately not as stiff..i haven't tried it yet as far as watercoloring etc. and am hoping that that hasn't changed..the colored cs is quite heaver than the white..

Rarely do I use WW for watercoloring - mostly for stamped solid images. I find the naturals and Confettis and watercolor paper are best for watercoloring.

I agree, Tayor, I do this, too. The confett's and the naturals are great for card bases, too. The whisper white is the best for solid stamping with dye ink (I have not found any other that are as good at giving even solid images with dye ink). Every paper has what it does best (an some are just good at being cheap--which is good for experiments and practice). No paper is all things.
SU! colored cs has always been heavier than the ww and vv. (they are designed to be different weights).
To the op, so sorry that it did not do what you planned for it to do. I just suggest keep trying with different types of stamping. If you are still unhappy call your demo--so she can contact SU! I know it can be so frustrating when something does not turn out like I have planned.

I tried the Papertrey CS and I tell you I'm going to order a pack with every order from them from now on. I love it. I find I get very crisp images on it.
I know people love WW and I'm glad it is out there for that but I've never liked it much.
I'm sorry you wern't happy.

Another endorsement for the Papertrey white cardstock! Love it for cardbases, and I have found it stamps beautifully too. I have two packs on hand. Here's an example of a card I did most recently with the center image being stamped on Papertrey Stamper's Select (white) cardstock. The sentiment was on their cardstock as well and punched out. It's a nice bright white color.
I am in love with WW and dye images. I was using gerogia pacific because, come on you can't beat the price, but was always having problems with solid images like big blossom. Then I just happened to try some scraps of WW I had around and OMG so much better!!! I don't like how it takes a bit longer to dry, but once I realized that, I was fine.
I use watercolor paper for my watercoloring.

I just received my order from Paper trey and I love the white card stock. I have used SU, but I will be ordering more white card stock from Paper trey. I stamped several card fronts today and then used my Prisma pencils and baby oil. I love the way they turned out. Paper trey had free shipping on orders of $40.00 or more. Try it I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Thank you all for the comments and the lovely compliments on my gallery..it means a lot to me..as i am trying to get better, and have learned by the comments here..that yes each paper has it's own uses..i will be trying out the different ideas posted here...thanks so much..

I use SU WW cardstock for gamsol and pencils - I like it better than papertrey for that it blends easier but for coloring with markers i like paper treys better cause its thicker and more matte
Gail, I've been using the "Domtar" paper from Staples. I have no idea how it compares to the Papertrey paper because I just cant bring myself to pay the $23 shipping, but the Domtar paper seems to work good for a card base and it stamps nicely too. It is about $15.00 for 250 sheets (that's the Canadian price). You might want to give it a try. My demonstrator uses it too quite often for her card bases.
Thanks deb..i'm going into the city wednesday..so will try it out..it will be nice to have the different paper for the different things to work on..i have water color paper..keep forgetting about it..lol
i don't have gamasol so want to try that out too..
babyclaire the baby oil sounds interesting..is that the same as using Gamasol??..thanks girls for all the information..have a great day.

I've used watercolor paper as a card base. I get the cheapest pads Michaels has. It's $1.99 US for a pad of 10 sheets. It has a nice texture and is nice and heavy.
I use the domtar paper from staples and i love it.
i use it for a card base and to stamp on as well as anything else i need white card stock for.
i did try WW last week. i asked my demo for a piece at the end of open house evening to play with when i got home and i loved it for colouring with gamsol. i placed an order the next day and i also have a bazzill smoothies order coming to try.
OH MY! Love that example from Paper Trey. I do have to say that WW is great for layering or for the top layer but as a base, it stinks! It's too wimpy or "cheesy" as Gail said. So a vote for each but each has it's own use.
Deb..yes i will..i have a sample that someone from here was kind enough to send me(papertrey)..she was from the States..and i forget who it was..i hope she reads this as i wanted to thank her again..it is wonderful paper for cs..but no..i haven't tried to do anything on it yet....thanks again girls.

Get Versafine black ink...so much better than SU...not sure how it will work on watercolour paper but I want to get some of the paper anyways since I am getting into watercolouring. I was told that you should get "hot press" paper at lease 140 lb weight. Make sure the paper is fairly smooth. Also with the versafine let it dry lots or heat set it and leave it for a bit. Versafine is such a true black and I think you will love it.

oooohhhh.... my brother works for Domtar. Don't know why I've never tried it before. I'll have to see if I can get a sample!

Good morning all.
Well i did buy the Domtar..and yes i like it..I stamped on it with pallete noir..worked fine.
I used a blender and wonderwater colors crayons..worked fine.
it makes as good a base as ww...the only thing i am not good at water cloring with my aqua painter..i soak everything even ww..i think i would shred tinfoil..so only use my aqua painter for bleaching.. as far as color? the Domtar alone is.. a nice white..next to ww ..ww is whiter and brighter same as next to papertrey sample i have. Papertrey is heavier than papertret and ww..but for the price wise..yes i will be using the Domtar. it makes a wonderful card base..i use a lot of white for card bases...15.98 for 250 sheets..can't beat that..
Deb if you want to pm me your address i can send you a couple of samples of the Domtar if you like..

But to each their own..that's my input..

Gail you are absolutly right about the paper not being the same as it used to be in the WHISPER WHITE..Actually I noticed the difference about one year ago and I called them, spoke with someone, and compared it to my original pack, it's really flimsy and not nearly as it should be or once was...I'm going to have to find another source in the WHITE for my cards...They ( SU) assured me it hadn't changed, but you immediatly feel the thinness..
I'm glad I'm not fabricating something in my head about the paper, in that it has changed...

SU Black ink is not waterproof. I know it claims to be waterproof if you use certain SU paper, but it is not. You need a good basic waterproof black ink? Try Memories. I've had the same ink pad for 5 years, reinked it once and use it almost every day!!!
