Default Where to find silicone glue...yep, it's stamp related!

On the Magnolia tutorial blog she uses a silicone glue (water soluble) to do the paper tole technique. I love the look because you can adjust the amount of glue for the height that you want. Does anyone know where to find this. I have looked on the regular "glue aisle" at both M's and J's, notta. Any ideas? Do you think it would be in a different location in these stores?

BTW, I did contact the girl that did the tutorial, but she does not live in the U.S. Here is a link to her work:

If you don't find any in small craft supplies, it's basically the same stuff you'd use to seal round your shower stall or bathtub so try looking for a clear silicone "sealant" somewhere like Home Depot. You could always squeeze a small amount out onto an old CD or something and then apply it to your project with a toothpick since you don't really want to be aiming a caulking gun at your cards! In the UK and other European countries it has long been used by people who do decoupage (which is probably just paper tole by another name) so you'd find it quite readily in craft stores.

Go careful if using domestic silicone sealant, it might look the same but some develop grease marks over time. Craft silicon might be more expensive but it's worth it.

One of the new products we have over here is a clear glue gel from Pinflair, acts like silicone giving the height but stays clear and hasnt got that awful smell.

If you're struggling to get either glue in the US www.joannasheen.co.uk sells them and it's free p&p with a 5 minimum spend.

I could've sworn I've seen this stuff, or something similar in AC Moore or Michael's in the decoupage aisle. This may have been a while ago though, so not sure they still have it. Doesn't hurt to check though.

Stores in the US do have it though, here's one in Florida. Just Google 'paper tole supplies' for more.

I have bought this in the glue aisle at AC Moore. Buy the oderless dimensional silicone by "Decorators Solution". I cant say it has no order but it is 10X better than the "Locktite" brand clear household silicone.

Holly
