Stampin' Up! does (or did) carry both. The paper is VERY thin. The cardstock is thick enough to use as a card base, but you can still see what is underneath. I prefer the cardstock, but it depends on your project.
Thanks so much for the info! Up until I saw it referenced on one of the threads, I had never heard of vellum cardstock. I think I might have to get some!
I got a pack of the paperweight, and once I opened it, I don't think I ever used it. It's super thin.
Michaels carries the Paper Company vellum in 12x12, and it's a nice weight. Probably not cardstock weight, but definitely heavier than SU's paper weight.
I do use the paper weight of vellum. It works fine in the C-Bug (actually pretty cool, too) or I will sometimes print a quote or design on it from the printer to attach to the inside of a card, and the vellum paper works fine. I just figure there are some pretty cool stuff I could do with the vellum cardstock as well.
