Default SU Stamps on Acrylic Blocks?

I just acquired some retired SU Stamps that the former owner had on acrylic blocks and I want to put them back on Wood blocks. How can I do that? or should I get acrylic blocks and remount? If so, where to buy acrylic blocks and how to mount? I don't know anything about acrylic blocks- I have never even seen one. I am a die hard SU stamp stamper... but I really wanted this retired set, which is hard to come by... SU Courage and Honor. If anyone has any info, I would be really appreciative. THANKS!!!

Lisa

Is there anything on the back of the stamps you got, like foam cushion? If so, you can use rubber cement to glue the stamps onto wood blocks. If not, you will need cushion to use wood blocks. I don't know of a source for cushion with the heavy-duty glue on both sides for mounting on wood, I'm afraid.

If you want to use the acrylic blocks, you can use the rubber images without cushion -- that's how I do it and it works fine! (I cushion the surface I'm stamping on, with several sheets of scrap paper.) I use restickable glue-stick on the back of my UMs -- some people use double-stick tape on the acrylic blocks or Aleene's Tack It Over & Over glue on the rubber. With all the polymer (clear) stamps on the market now, the acrylic blocks are quite easy to find in stamp stores or online. If you want the cushion, you can get the cling kind for using with acrylic blocks from companies like TAC. Hope this helps you some!

Happy trails....

Sue
