Hi ladies! I have used my tonic guillotine a little to much and it appears my blade is getting dull. How do I go about sharpening it? I just read a previous thread that said they don't make them anymore so I can't even replace it. Please help!
Thanks in advance
The Tonic guillotine cutters are self sharpening. Just hold your fingers down on the plastic guides to make sure it is "cutting" straight and without paper, pull down on the handle several times just as if you were cutting paper; it should cut great again! One of the many great features of this cutter!

The 2 metal surfaces need to rub against each other so when moving the cutting blade up and down also push slightly toward the bed of the cutter. I have the large one and really like it. I found some for sale so bought a 'back up'. This is my second one but it was replaced by the company because a spring broke in an enclosed area so that the handle would no longer stay up.
Another thought: sometimes the screw holding the blade mechanism can get a bit loose, and the blade doesn't sit close enough to the table to get a good self-sharpening "swipe" as you cut. Check and see if you need to tighten the screw a bit...

Reason: blatant typo
Thank you so much! It worked like new after I sharpened it a bit. I was so worried that my go to cutter was no longer going to work. I really appreciate the input!!
