Default reinkers

So I am looking thru my reinkers today and realize that I have unopened Positively Pink, Baroque Bugundy, Rose Romance as well as all 6 in colors from last year. What can I do with these besides reink the pads since I am almost out of the cardstock to go with them all?

I hate to just have these sitting here and not getting used so can you all help me use them up?

Thanks,
Jodi

PS and to make things worse, I am about to order two more color families of reinkers!

I like to mix a drop or two of them with some irridescent medium and paint with them.

Use them to dye some white ribbon--they don't have to match your cardstock exactly, just be complementary to it.

Reink your pads and use them for direct-to-paper: it uses up the ink faster.

Continue to use those colors anyway (see comment about not needing to match cardstock EXACTLY).

Give the reinkers and the ink pads to someone who cannot afford very many supplies and would LOVE some new (to her or him) colors.

I use my reinkers all the time for polished stone. Wet your felt pad (or cotton ball) with 91% rubbing alcohol, add a few drops of reinker and dab away on glossy cardstock.

Use it for watercoloring, dying ribbon or your flowers from the pretties kit.

You can also mix the reinker with crystal effects and paint it on the half pearls. Place the pearls on wax paper so it doesnt stick once the CE is dry.

Ditto - watercolor, dying ribbon, polished stone, etc. ALSO shaving cream, glitter ornaments (dying glitter, too!), dying spackle, baby wipe technique, the list goes on and on!!

I'll have to try this. Thanks for the tip!

thanks for all the ideas! I am going to try the ribbon dying, polished stone and baby wipes. I don't have the pretties yet but you all are making them even harder to resist! Shame on all of you enablers. LOL

As for not matching exactly, I am not quite there yet but I am working on it still.

Can you tell me why I would die spackle though?

Now I am off to the resource section to learn more!

Thanks and keep it all coming!

I saw a demo mixing Ranger's new Dimensional Magic with reinkers. Mix them in a spriter and spray your card. You can also use them for the Magic Snowflake in Resources.

Use them with a sponge and then dab onto your CS for a pretty backround.

I think they were using it as an alternative to embossing paste-which is used with brass stencils

Also in the recent VSN there was a technique called smashing that used reinkers. Here's a link to the tutorial
I used it for this BG
