Default Please help!!! I'm Crop-a-dial challenged :-(

Ok..I know you need an engineering degree to figure out a Crop-a-dial. Can anyone please help me?

I have tried to put eyelets in and make the hole, put the male eyelet part in the hole, put the female part on the crop-a-dile and hold it down, but the flatter part of my eyelet never stays :-(

I cannot find anyone at the scrapbooking stores to help!

My apologies in advance

Any help would be greatly appreciated

:-) Holly

Holly, from what you wrote, it sounds like maybe you are trying to punch the hole and set the eyelet all at once with the Cropadile. If so, I don't think that would work well.

Punch your hole first, using the correct punch on the Cropadile for the size of eyelet you are using. Then insert the eyelet into the hole with the flat part on top of your cardstock.

Then insert the little post into the eyelet, holding the paper with your left hand while holding your Cropadile in the right. Try to keep the paper with the eyelet steady against the top of the jaws of the Cropadile, then squeeze the handles.

I had to practice for a bit until I got the hang of it. Good luck!

Here are the directions from the company that makes the CAD. It has great diagrams!

There's a video tutorial on you tube too.

You can view it here.

Once you get the hang of it, you will love your Crop-a-dile! I never used eyelets before, and since I got my CAD a year and a half ago, I have become an addict! As Bugga in OK said, punch your hole first using the 1/8 or 3/16 (on sides of CAD), then set the eyelet (make sure you have the letter and number combo set correctly for the size eyelet you are using).

I just found these for the Crop-A-Dile II Big Bite.

Factory Instructions:
http://www.paperwishes.com/webisodes...structions.pdf

How to Set an Eyelet:
http://blog.paperwishes.com/sara/200...with_crop.html

I used the two combined to figure it out. Look at the factory settings to decide which settings to use and then read Sara's tutorial. It works great! And I was extremely challenged. They always came out smashed and closed up before I found these.
