Question Pixie Stix - Where can I find them?

Hello friends,

I saw this BEAUTIFUL project by fellow stamper Jami:

Halloween candy treats by Jami at Splitcoaststampers

and I wanna make these!! Problem: I can't find Pixie Stix!! The little ones that are the size and shape of straws? Not the HUGE ones my students would eat waling into class (yeah, they were really able to concentrate on geometry that day, all jacked up on sugar). I was really surprised when Walmart didn't have them (this being Halloween, the season of candy and all), and I KNOW I've seen them somewhere, but I have been so many places lately and don't know how long ago that was... or where I was... (they say the mind is the first thing to go).

So, I was hoping my stamping sisters might be able to give me the 411 on where to look before I waste a ton of time, gas, and money trekking all over town to find them (and get looks from the clerks "You're looking for what?")

Thanks in advance!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

CMC

I've seen them in dollar stores. Walgreens *might* have them in their regular candy aisle (not by the holiday candy).

My Wal mart has them in with the Halloween candy. I got 120 for a $ 1.98. I bought a package to hand out to trick or treaters. Let me know if you can't find any in your area and I will send you some.

I don't know how these compare on price but Oriental Trading has them:

You guys are SO SWEET! (pun intended)

Tried Target - nada. Tried Walgreens, none, was told they didn't carry them. Will try the other Walmart on the other side of town tomorrow, and maybe the KMart but it is not in the best section of town unfortunately.

Wish me luck gals! I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks so much for the suggestions, and support.

Morning!

Heading out in the pouring rain to check the Walmart on the far side of town. Might try KMart too. Will let you know if I find any when I get back... if I don't wash away. ;)

Thanks again for everyone's help. Still looking...

That's true! I have too, usually with their 2/$1 or 2/$3 bags of candy.

Do you have a Toys 'R Us? They might have them with their party supplies.

Talking Pixy Stix - FOUND!!

WAHOO!

The Walmart on the edge of town had them - the 120 in package for under $2like Heather mentioned. I of course purchased several packages and considered dumping the entire box in my cart so I never have to go through this again. All Walmarts are NOT created equal!!

Also saw them in the party supplies section at KMart for future reference - there were about 20 in a package for $1.

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE for your helpfull suggestions and offers to send some to me if I couldn't find them. You guys ROCK!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

wow- I have never had trouble finding them- I guess it depends on where you live. I think though I have always found them at WM/Target/ and Dollar Tree. Glad you found them!
