I am wondering what everyone else stores their markers in? I am looking for new storage for mine as right now I have them in a large plastic pencil box and I am tired of digging for the one I need.
Thanks!
I wanted an inexpensive option for my Copics, so found these acrylic cubes at Ben Franklin. I removed the lids and glued them together. As you can see, I'm outgrowing them and need to go and get 2 more cubes. The cost was under $20 with a coupon compared to $40 or more for the pricier units found online. Works for me! COPIC STORAGE

I bought Rubbermaid X cubes from Sam's Club online. They were about $9.00 each with free shipping.

I use the marker storage unit from CTMH. I like that you can just buy that piece and not the entire storage system. And I can lay my markers horizontally so they last longer - I hope!
I use a 6 space metal (coated white) picnic fork/spoon/knife holder. Take the handle off and lay it on it's side. I added a piece of cardboard under the front to angle it upward a little too. When I want to move to another room, all I do is grab the whole thing and go!
I keep my new In-Color markers in the box they came in. I keep the rest in a plastic pencil box. I have all the 48 basic colors and two neutrals. It just fits. I travel with my stamping gear, so I like that there is not a lot of extra space wasted.

Thanks for the idea! I had seen these at Staples online, but they are $15 each, so I hadn't been in a hurry. Right now they are $9.12 including shipping from Sam's. I would never have thought to look there.
I also searched WalMart, but they don't show having them.
If it is for Copics, the Copic store display container is great for storing and being able to locate specific color markers: http://www.oozak.com/proddetail.php?prod=COPCSV-DISP Markers are stored no deeper than four high; so it's easy to return the marker to its precise location. The Pampered Chef lazy Susan worked okay for me when my collection was small enough, but things eventually got too tight.
I just peeked at your pictures of your craft room and WOW!!! Your space is amazing and I got so many ideas from it. I am getting ready to move into a new house next month and can't wait to reorganize everything!
I have 144 copic markers and made my own storage system. I took a piece of plywood and stapled elastic to it in 4 rows of 36. The markers fit perfectly and I have no trouble finding the one I need. Really cheap, and it works great over my desk.
I'm looking for some bright ideas too (mine are in a metal Easter basket). I saw a wine rack at Bed Bath and Beyond that was kinda like THIS ONE but of course I can't find actual one I saw......anyway, it looked like a neat idea to store markers in.
Location: Virginia, where we have the beach and mountains all in one state!!

If you are referring to Copic markers they can be stored horizontal or vertical. They are not like Water based markers that have to store flat. I hope this answers your question.
I have two of the Pampered Chef tool arounds (I think that's what they're called) I have Copics in one and the other has Sharpie's and Bic Mark it's.. the Stampin' UP! markers I store them in the case they came in. I wish I had been able to find the deal on the quickutz storage units that others got at big lots for only $3.00 I would've been glad to have them so the markers would be right in front of me.
I use the Quickutz magpie storage system for my markers. I found them at www.overstock.com at a good price and I only had to pay 2.95 shipping) which is what gets you when trying to buy these elsewhere online. Not sure if Overstock still carries them.
