Does anyone have any recommendations on which type of laminating machine to buy?
And is there something in particular I should look for?
I’d like to make samples of my Diecute and I’ve just been glueing them on clear sheets and setting in with the Stampin’ Up! die case but I thought it might be handy to laminate them, I’m not familiar with any of those machines, please share your thoughts.I might also do it with my punches.
I laminate using my Xyron Creative Station machine. Now my machine is quite old so I do not know if it is sold anymore or the cartridges are affordable. I bought many tape cartridges when Hobby Lobby was moving it on several years ago. I do not use an electric one, so no recommendations there.
I have an inexpensive Scotch laminating machine that I also use for foiling I think I paid under $30 for it with a coupon at JoAnn's, but that was a long time ago. Amazon now has it for $44 and change. It's a good machine.
I have wanted a hot laminating machine forever. I'm keeping an eye on HSN and Staples, they seem to have a good variety. Let me know what you decide on, I will post again when I get one.

I've been using 12" Royal Sovereign machines for a couple of forevers. I recently had to replace mine, but that was after quite a few years of use. I even bought a larger one for our office at work when the dinosaur machine they had died. Can't recommend it highly enough! I got mine on Amazon.

The same...Royal Sovereign. Only I use the 9 inch one and bought mine at Walmart. I am still on my first machine after hundreds and hundreds of lamination sheets.
At church we had an old expensive machine too. Replaced it with the Royal Sovereign. You can buy a whole lot of them for the price of an expensive machine.

can you remember the reason the pouches were better for storing the PP stamps on? it was mentioned in an older thread but I've forgotten the reason. I bought one and love it but I'm so slow at using the pouches.TIA, Betty
Jennifer McGuire did a video once recommending the Royal Sovereign as an inexpensive laminator; so lots of crafters, including me, have one. If I had it to do over, I would like one that has a substantially wider feed than the most commonly sold sleeves need. Although I try to line the pouch up carefully, it often goes through a tad crooked and starts wrinkling up against the edge.

The material the pouches are made of does not interact negatively with the photopolymer stamps, so that's why I store all of my stamps on laminated cardstock. I store my unmounted rubber that way, as well, so I have a consistent system.
By the way, I started doing this on Diane's (fionna51) recommendation. Many of my organizational systems are influenced by/based on hers.
