Help gluing on Teeny Tiny Embellishments??!!

Hi everyone...

I tried making a card yesterday using the Dew Drops and just wondered how you get these little buggers IN PLACE on your card (where you want them) as they are SO small to hold on to or even to grab with tweezers, etc.

I'm counting all you out there to pass on your tricks, techniques, etc...and also what glue(s) you use to HOLD them in place.

Appreciate ALL the help...THANKS!!!!!!!!!

with Dew drops I use the mini glue dots and tweezers. with teeny tiny itsy bitsy rhinestones, I use the 2 way glue pen and tweezers. so far all my pearls have been self adhesive..and yes, tweezers.

I find the tweezers that come in the SU! kit are very nice.

Put a spot of glue on the card where you want it (I often squeeze a bit of glue onto a craft sheet and use a pin tip to place a tiny amount onto the card), moisten your finger tip to pick up your embellie and then place it onto the spot of glue. I even use this technique for the teeniest, tiniest kind of gems that are intended to stick on to your finger nails (like the ones on the bottom of the image panel on this card.

Glossy Accents (or equivalent like Crystal Effects etc) works great for Dew Drops and other small embellies.

I put a tiny drop of glue from a Quicky Glue pen where I want the baby bling to be. Then I lick my finger and gently press on my face up bauble. It gives you a slight bond, enough to move it over and put it in place. That's the low tech yet effective way. There's no way I could use tweezers on itty bitty bling.

I'm all for low tech - if I don't have to buy a tool I can spend the pennies on pretty bits instead ;)

You can also put a little flat glue-dot on a new pencil eraser tip -- I press it agains my pants or shirt a few times so it's not so sticky -- and use that to pick up those little things. When the sticky is totally gone, put a new glue-dot on.

I usually use white glue (like tacky glue but from MM) and I use tweezers, finger tip, a toothpick, craft knife, embossing tool, piercer... whatever is closest, using my finger as a last choice. I also wet the tip of it.

I don't like using glue dots because if my embie ends up slightly off from where I want it it's stuck. With the white glue I can adjust it a tad.

I like to use glossy accents to adhere dew drops. I can get a fairly small dot of it right where I want the drop to go. I usually use my tweezers but for really small emblishments I have a small wooden skewer I use, I put a bit of aleene's tack it over and over on the tip of the wooden skewer. Gives it enough tack to pick up small pieces. Careful you don't use too much or you'll have trouble transfering it, a small dot is usually enough and let it dry completely before using. I tried glue dots but never seemed to get the drop exactly centered and some of the glue dot showed :(

Thanks ALL (again) for your tips, techniques, suggestions, etc. for gluing on those teeny tiny embellishments...and help with what you use for gluing those little buggers down with...if my hand didn't shake so bad, I might?? be able to hold onto the tweezers, but unfortunately I've not had much success as I need my GOOD hand to hold onto the tweezers with...hahaha

Wouldn't it be GREAT if ALL of them were sticky backed though??!!
