Hi everyone !
I am making 200 wedding invitations for a friends daughter. (what was I thinking :rolleyes but any how does anyone know where I can get GOOD prices on small flat back white pearls and 1/2 in. black satin ribbon ?
Also light weight shimmer card stock.
I was on line most of the afternoon checking all this out but most places are limited quantity.
For the flat back pearls, check with Firemountain Gems, they seem to carry a good selection of flat back pearls and gems. For the 1/2" satin ribbon, visit your local Hobby Lobby, they can place a special order for you and it usually arrives within a week and they're excellent about honoring their advertised discounts on special orders. You might be able to order your lightweight shimmer cardstock from them as well.
For the flat back pearls check out eBay, I have gotten great deals on flat backs from there. As for the ribbon I agree with leslierod, go to your local hobby store or sewing supply store and see if they can order it for you.
I don't know where you live in Ohio, but it might be worth a drive to a Pat Catan's Craft Center. I'm doing an August wedding (only 75 guest, not 200!) and I have spent so little on ribbon, but have used a ton of it. Pew bows, invites, flowers, vases, favors, and have only spent $20.
I got my Neenah cardstock from one of the ones in the nearest city to me. Sometimes they run offers/coupons. The one I went to was professional printing orientated but others also have a variety of paper crafting materials.
I found them very helpful. And they pointed me in the direction of similar products and other products on offer. They would be my first stop if I ever had a mass order to complete.
Does she really need 200 invitations? That would be about 400 guests, which is a huge affair! If she's having 200 guests, 125 invitations usually covers it.
I second Dreamtime. I purchased crystals for our son's wedding invites from them and the price was very reasonable and the quality amazing.
If I can make one suggestion as the crystals and I think the pearls are the same way - they are not adhesive backed. To speed up placing them on the invites purchase the Glue kit - it is worth every penny.
The syringe places the smallest dot of glue and makes for a mess-free card. Also the beeswax sticks are indespensible - make picking up the crystals and placing the in the glue a breeze.
hi...
please suggest to buy a product in bulk like T.V or something else...!!!!!!!!
you mean to BUY TVs? or to buy things you've SEEN on TV?
HSN.com is te only On Tv i can think of, but I don't know if they do bulk.
If you're looking to buy electronics in bulk, i have no idea where to do so...
For ribbon, I also suggest you shop here. I used them for my wedding invites and they were great. I got either five or six 25 yard rolls of gold organza ribbon (enough to do the invites, programs, and favors) for $10, including shipping. Granted, that was nearly 3 years ago, but they're still quite reasonably priced.
