I got it yesterday, from Joan Fricker. I'm so happy! She delivered quick! I played around with it, several people have said you jump the track times. Yes, it did happen, but I found if you take it slower it is not a problem. I also used my embossing tool instead of the bone folder, an embossing tool with a larger head on it, and it worked mighty good! I am happy!
I love mine too. I think this whole "jumping the track criticism" is way over blown. And you're right if you just slow down a little, and/or use a different bone folder everything works fine. I also have the ScorPal, and much much much prefer the MS because of all the score lines and the included envelope maker. I don't have to do the math and repositioning of paper. Although, before I got the MS, I did use the Scor Pal. At first I really hated it. I thought it was wayyyyyy over priced. And I just thought it was well........lacking. I now use the Scor Pal as a work surface with a piece of acrylic cut to fit, and I use the MS score board for all my scoring.

I don't experience any problems with using the bone folder that came with the MS Scorboard. I am really pleased with my purchase, even if I did have to make a few trips to Michaels.
I just tried mine out last night and only skipped the track once and that was because I was going too fast and holding the tool at the wrong angle. Once I read the instructions I had no problem scoring.
i've discovered that the envie template makes the envelopes (at least for the A2) about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too big. Has anybody else found this to be true? I adjust the size of my paper down to 8 1/4" and added 1/8" to score it and it's still a little big but fit's the A2 much nicer without quite so much wiggle room.

I saw something about this in another thread about the Martha board, wasn't clear on what the problem was. I will have to try this. Thank you for the tip.
I use the bottom/wider end of the MS scoring tool in the tracks of the score board and it never jumps the tracks! I highly recommend the MS board, the numbers across the top are much easier to read, the tracks every 1/4" and I haven't even tried the envelope maker yet!

I love my board with all the lines. I lost my score tool that came with it so I use a Tupperware orange peeler tool and it works great. :p If I find my tool I will go back to it but for now the orange peeler is working great.
I was just trying out the envelopes, using the envelope template and instructions. The 6" inch square envelope tells you to use 10"x10" paper and score at 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" this comes out at a 6 1/2" square envelope. The remedy is to score at 4" which results in a 6" square envelope. Hope this helps. Otherwise I am thrilled to have been able to find this great tool from Michael's in Kingston, Ontario.
Hi Kristy. Have fun, I have found this board to be invaluable. Accurate scoring and a very nice flexible scoring tool.
Let me know how you get on.

I just got one at our local M's and used my 40% off so got it for $12. I plan to try making some envelopes with it and I hope I can get some straighter scoring marks than I get with the Fiskar cutter/scoring blade.

Oh, good. I'll be on the look out for one ;)

I used my coupon and got the MS score board for $12.00 too. I LOVE it. Much better than the Score-Pal. You just have to slow down so you don't jump the track - that also happened to me with the Score-Pal so it's not just a MS issue.
