Default Embossing Mat used to repair Kitchenaid Blender

Imagine my surprise tonight when I went to make milkshakes and I poured some milk into the blender and it came rushing out the bottom of the container.. I take it apart and there is no seal.. I ask my daughter who had unloaded the dishwasher where it was.. and she said she threw it away! So I thought.. and thought... and pulled out a piece of black rubber mat that is for embossing in my Bigkick.. I traced the blade piece onto the rubber and cut it out.. and then held a Coluzzle template up to the bottom to see how big a hole I needed and tried to use it with it, but it only scored the rubber.. so I cut it out the rest of the way with scissors.. I had to make two of these to keep it from leaking.. but it worked. I told my hubby and kids.. there's a reason why they call me a "rubber" stamper! I have a story about a piece of tupperware used to replace a gasket in our old boat motor.. too funny ~

thanks for reading, Pam

Wow! How ingenius you are!

I would never have been able to do that and would've had to go online and order a new gasket - we've had that kind of thing happen here and I was thrilled to find online appliance parts.
