Well--my husband and I had agreed that we wouldn't exchange gifts this year for a variety of reasons--including a December wedding(son), 3 trips home from NY for DS2 in less than 3 weeks due to holidays and wedding( 3K and counting on CC) and we told all our children that we did not want them to buy us anything either --to use that money on the grandkids and they listened-----so with that said---I made a HL run on the 20th of Dec and came out with a BIA (40% coupon) lots of wires, the bag for the BIA(40% coupon after the first visit), the heavy duty corner clipper,(40% coupon in hubby's hands) and a lap desk with the micro-bead bottom.......I told him that was my Christmas(paid for with profits from a craft show) and he laughed. The lap desk is awesome.....Now I can color in comfort while keeping him company in front of the TV at night. Last night I colored 15 scarecrows from the Happy Fall y'all set, and 15 tags to go with them and 15 sentiments for a swap I am in and had my legs up on the recliner the entire time......What fun. Oh yes--and he bought me a new hand mixer as my other one sparked out while making the last batch of homemade lotion from recipe found here on SCS. I of course purchased his annual Hesston belt buckle. It was a great Christmas with all our kids.

I got an Cricut Expressions from my DH! He also got me an iHome under-the-counter iPod charger/player/radio thing. LOVE it! What makes the Expression even better is I know my DH went out at 4am the day after Thanksgiving to get it. If you knew him, you'd know what a sacrafice that was. He hates shopping and he hates crowds...
My in-laws bought me a BIA (which I already had one, but still the thought was very nice), and wires, tool kit, idea book to go with it.
A couple of my friends bought me a couple scrapbook layout kits, and a bucket full of all kinds of stamping goodies.
There were a few other non-stamping-related goodies too. It was a really great Christmas.
I am truly blessed dh got me the Scrapbox and even more special he said he would help me organize my room. It has been a mess and I have not been able to move forward on it.
My dd got me a Cricut!
My ds got me 150 gift card to Michaels. I still have not spent the one he got me last year so I have some shopping to do.
ETA: dd also got me a stocking full of scrapping goodies, my first stocking!

I got a cricut - which totally surprised me because I didn't know my husband even knew what they were, and I have never expressed a desire to own one. I love that he thought about it, though, and I'm sure I'll learn to love it!
me too! I was very happily surprised! I also got some stamps from MFT and Bella stamps. After the worst 9 months ever - it's nice that things have worked themselves out and I'll get to stamp again.

My Boyfriend got me my slice and the slice desk organizer. He also got me the noteworthy and falalala card---I guess he made good use of those 50% off coupons I printed off and left on his computer.
That was the best to print off coupons so funny i have to remember that

My hubby gave me some house mouse stamps and rose blossoms edgeabilities and a butterfly shapeabilities. I had asked for nesties but he thought he would get me something that looked neat to him, usually thats dangerous
I gifted myself with a Slice and a couple of cartridges. When we were in San Diego, I went to a store called Paper Tales (very cool store!!) and ended up with a *few* things to bring home including strawberry boxes (the paper kind...clean!), couple of stamps, glitter and a slew of Jenny Bowlin stuff.
My DH got me a Cricut Jukebox, the deep blade housing and extra blades, couple sets of Nestabilities, Round-it-all, MS punch. Thas was my stamping gifts.
He also got me a huge gift set of Happy perfume (my favorite), new pj's, mixer and a robe.
It definitely pays to send DD #2 with him when he Christmas shops for me. She knows me well.
We had a wonderful Christmas, and I had more than my fair share of great gifts. Not too many of them were craft-related, but I did get several new Sugar Nellie stamps from my partner's mother, so yay!
I've now ordered myself a Cricut Expression, after months of pondering, and am calling that a belated Christmas present to myself!
SHUT UP!!! WOW! That's awesome!!! That man's a keeper! ;)
Julie you crack me up!!!!!!!! Yes he is a keeper. I figure I can't mad at him now for at least a year no matter what he does!!!

My DH got me a couple of more cabinets and a counter to add space in my craft room. He's going to install it all hopefully tomorrow. I also got 65 new copic markers so I'm a little more than half way to having all the sketch colors. Some nesties and with the gift certificates from work I now have enough walmart gift certificates to get myself a cricut expression.
My DH got me a Scor-Pal and I bought myself a BigShot ~ ETA: Jan. 5th...just in time to go back to work :( ~ oh well!
I'm lucky I got only ONE Scor-Pal, because I, too, told everyone I wanted one!
I got two most awesome things... a cricut, which my hubby had no clue what it was either and I didn't ask, I didn't want him to spend that kind of money. And he supported my other hobby... he got me abreadmaker. He spent so much money on me now I have to give him extra love

My hubby got me a Cricut Expressions with 2 cartridges included, plus 2 cartridges as part of a rebate, plus deep cutting blade and some other stuff included in the bundle. I did not expect that since I just asked him 2 weeks ago if it was o.k. to order from SU, well almost $ 120 worth:rolleyes: and he said go for it. Plus he got me some non paper crafting related items, or should I say, he bought them and had my girls give them to me;) a Panini maker and a new toaster oven. You know they have to sometimes throw in something that they can benefit from too:rolleyes: . So I am very thankful for my hubby

My DH gave me a new bullentin board, and a set of Prisma colored pencils. My 16 yr old DS gave me a cute stamp!! I was so happy with it, it's a snowman skiing, very cute! My MIL gave me some sewing supplies to use for card making, some rick rack, some really cute buttons, some lace and hem tape that will look great on cards. Already used the lace and some red hem tape. Worked great! She also gave back to me my baby food carosol for craft storage of trinkets and stuff. She filled some baby jars with buttons and other miscellaneous embellishments. I thought that was very thoughtful. She also gave me some mason jars for storing primas and ribbons.
For non crafts we did buy a new TV for the living room. Older sons did the research and helped us select a great model for our budget. That was fun! Our 17 yr old TV went kaput a few months ago and we were watching TV in the main room on a 20-something inch. It was OK, but small! This one is much larger! Much better on the eyes with HD and and everything.
My dear friend Debbie gave me a GC to The Stampin' Place. Then she sent me some old SU sets she found in her basement! Score! My daughter gave me some beautiful hand-made paper. I gave myself the beginnings of my Copic sketch markers collection and some SU stuff! No hubby around to justify my stamping expenditures to! lol!
My sons each got me Noel and Stone Script Cricut Solutions Cartridges. Then to my surprise, my br in law took a wild guess and gave me a BIA, instruction book, enuf accessories for three books and a gift card to HL. Good boys.
Christmas was good! My MIL got me a Big Bite, a glittery cardstock stack, and a jetmax! My brother got me a Michael's gift card!! Guess where I am going today? lol
WOW, what a wonderful day you must have had. Bet you can't wait to get busy with it all. I'd love to see a picture of your gallery frame. What a thoughtful gift.
As soon as I get it filled up and my dear hubby hangs it, I'll post a pic.

Christmas was good - hubby bought me a new laptop and the wireless network stuff to link it to my desktop. Waiting for the Geek Squad to get here to set it up as I write. Can't wait - have always wanted a laptop so I could have it on my desk because our desktop is not in my stamping room. I also got a little money to do some craft shoping. Hubby doesn't like to shop much.

I didn't get anything crafty (so far)- my dh got me 4 angels to add to my collection (now numbering 45) and my MIL got us a half case of wine and a bottle of port (which is wonderful with good dark chocolate). I made my dh a calendar-at-a-glance. Budget was tight this year so we focused on our kids. I can honestly say that it was one of the most enjoyable christmases(sp?) i've had in years. My anniversary and birthday are both within about a month though so I will definitely be making my wish list for those ;-)

Santa brought me a complete set of Distress Stickles & some Tim Holtz tools but DH gave me my best present. He sheetrocked my Studio. It's in the basement and up until now I had 2 cement walls and to studed in walls. Now I have a real room. He also hung the cabinets & desktop that we brought from our old house. I bought paint with the GC that my boss gave me and painted it over the weekend. I guess you could say I got my craft room for Christmas!
My DH got me a opit Light for my work space and a cricut cartage of Christmas plus lots of stocking stuffers that were craft related he has learned after a few years back when all he got me was car parts to a car he never even put them on to what a christmas that was not for me or him after I was done belly aching to him lolo
I got the Slice machine, 75$ gift certificate at my local Scrapbook Store, few basic grey cardstocks those last was in the goody Christmas stocking. AND 300$ to buy more memory card for the slices and other stuff. I might save some money to purchase a purse that I have seen and a messanger bag for my laptop.
I got a Nikon coolpix camera, blue my fav! I was shocked. We bought a Nikon D40 during the summer. It's a bit bulky so now I have a small camera to take when ever I want! Also a great pair of sunglasses. I did really only want a Cricut Expression, but I guess it wasn't meant to be yet. Hope everyone enjoys their gifts!
Can I ask....what is a slice machine??? TIA. Karen
I was curious too to know too. What is it?
