Cricut problem...

I just got my Cricut and got it all set up according to the instructions and it won't cut!:(
I've tried several times and it just won't cut.... I have a feeling that it has something to do with the blade but I have tried re-installing and that didn't work...

Also what should I have my pressure, speed and needle depth set at? 4?

Thanks so much!
I really want to get to use my Cricut

Blessings
Kelley

Is it cutting, but not all the way through?

Your dial settings will vary depending on the type of paper you are cutting, and what font/shapes you are cutting out.

Go to www.cricut.com and get on the message boards there. I know there are threads with "cheat sheets" giving specific dial settings for different types of paper.

When I first got mine last May from QVC, it was not cutting either. A phone call to Provocraft determined that I had some bad blades. They sent replacements in the mail. In the meantime, I went to M's and bought new blades. That solved the problem.

Hope this can be of some help to you. You will love your bug once you get it "house trained' LOL

Red face I had that problem too...

Make sure you are putting the blade all the way into the spot. I didn't and it wouldn't cut either. I was frustrated and then finally I sat down with it, looked at the pictures and messed with it more. It was me not putting it all the way in. I hope this is clear...
