I have been keeping all my unmounted stamps both foam and clear on the EZmount boards in binders. I am taking them off the binder method and into drawers. Why? well in the ole days I would just peel and stick the stamps onto the boards - I never listed who they were from or kept an image copy of the stamps, and now they seem to be falling off the binders. In recent months I have been keeping all new clear stamps in its packaging system and it seems to be easier to find and store.
Here is my question: When I buy stampendous clear stamps - the stamps are adhering to a clear backing. Is it acetate? What is it?
If it is acetate - I want to stick the clear stamps onto this - then stamp the images onto the other side of the acetate and put it in a plastic storage bag - then into a drawer or maybe go back to binders.. At least I wouldn't have to worry about it falling off or lost...
Sorry so long.. but need help... I read thru many threads but couldn't find the right answer...
I use boards (panels), so I don't have any new ideas for you.
OP, when you say EZMount boards, do you mean the white Stamp N' Stor panels? I sure hope not. I bought a whole bunch of them to store my acrylic and unmounted rubber stamps and would hate to find out the stamps don't cling to them like they should.
I have the panels in page protectors, which will catch stamps that fall off, but I don't want to deal with a high percentage of stamps at the bottom of the page protectors. That defeats the purpose of using the panels!
I have all my stamps unmounted and stored in CD cases. I used Word to create the spine labels, printed them onto a piece of white cardstock, cut them out and attached them to the inside of the spine (to keep them clean) with red liner tape.
For my index of stamps, I have them stamped on a 5x7 index card purchased at WalMart hole punched in the upper left corner and attached to a ring. I organized them based on the SU! catalog since I own mostly SU! stamps. The ring hangs on the side of the bookcase that holds the CDs from a very sturdy nail.
As I receive (purchase) new stamps, I put them directly into a CD case, index them on a 5x7 card and put a sticky note on it until I make the spine label.
