Default Canadian source for baker's twine
Hey ladies, I know some of you ladies in Canada (like me) were looking for a Canadian source for baker's twine. I happened on this website and just ordered a bunch - good prices and they ship free in Canada.

I wanted to place an order with them but when I went to check out, the way they calculated the tax was all screwy. I'm in Alberta and they were trying to charge sales tax & gst. We don't pay sales tax in Alberta... I emailed them to let them know its not calculating right. Its only a couple $, but I don't like being overcharged because of mistakes like this.

I got an email back from the girl at Steam Trunk and she said that they're having a bit of an issue getting the tax to calculate correctly, but not to worry because they will refund any overcharges. So I'm off to place an order. I love it that they are a Canadian company and free shipping in Canada. I wish there were more companies like this...

I wanted to report back on my experience with this company. I got my order and all went well with the transaction. They did indeed refund the overcharge on the tax. They were out of stock on one of the colours I ordered :( but they did include a little package of reallly pretty flower shaped buttons. So, all in all, I'm happy with my purchase and they were easy to deal with. I would recommend them - especially to the Canadian crafters looking to not be gouged on shipping.

Thanks so much for all the kind words!!! Yes taxes have given me more gray hair than I care to mention - think I have it figured out and FREE shipping is my gift back to all us Canadians. I try to be prompt when shipping and using Paypal will make things quicker than echeques. Thanks again!!!!
