Default Can I use a Cricut mat in my Silhouette?

They both look the same to me, and I was wondering if the Cricut mat would work the same in my Silhouette? Anyone tried it?
Also, does the black arrow on the Silhouette mat always have to pointing in the same direction. The stickiness seems to wear off faster when I use the same area all the time. I do try to move the image around, but it would be easier if I just reversed the mat sometimes.Thanks.

Feel free to put it in either way. Your cricut mat will work but the squares won't line up (only important if you're doing lots of pieces on one mat and need to line up your cuts). What does work awesome are the eclips mats and they match up perfectly to the Cameo mats/screen so placement is super easy... I picked up a ton of them when OMC had a sale and they are all I use.
