I went to a Stationary Show last year and saw this die cut machine and I absolutely fell in love with it. I have a Big Shot and Side Kick that I rarely use. I like the Accucut because you can make all kinds of pocket card, different size card all types of boxes so I thought this would be a great asset since I make my own invitations and make favors.
I was just wondering if anyone has this machine.
It is a bit pricey and bulky and that's what is keeping me from getting it for now. I don't have much room until I organize myself.
I would to hear some feedback on this die cut machine and some projects that you may have done using the accucut.
Thank you
I have 2- the Mark IV and the GrandMark and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE them.
If you go to my blog you'll be able to see some projects I've done with it.
Here's an example of a box I did one Xmas: All stamped. If you have any questions about the machine please feel free to contact me All stamps used are from Stampington and Company!
I have the MarkIV and have had it for atleast 10 years and I LOVE it! I got it as a gift one year and was thrilled!!! I will say that the large dies to make the great boxes are wonderful but they are expensive ($80-120.00) for the large ones. I bought a bunch when I first started but have not bought any new ones for awhile but I still use the ones I have often.
I guess it depends on how much you would use it. I know some of my local stamp stores have them and you can use the one they have for a small fee or free if you buy the paper from them. Another option...if you have a local place that has one, you may be able to just buy the dies you want and use the machine at the LSS...just depends on the policy. (My local store is 5.00 a month and you can use all the machines/dies for free with your own paper or you buy the paper from them.)
I do find that I still use my old red Sizzix a ton for the Cuttlebug folders and smaller dies as I have not tried to use these in the AccuCut.
30% off one die in the Craft May 2008 release. Phone orders only (800-288-1670). Use Offer Code CEH21. Valid on new orders and not valid with other offers. One time use only. Valid through 6/2/08.
Thank you so much ladies for your responses. I will order one as soon as I can. I need to save some more money and I need more space so I can fit this machine somewhere.
I use to get emails from Accucut but they probably stopped sending them to me since I never made a purchased hopefully soon though. I did see the new blog area they have.
I have the GrandMark and absolutely love it! There are so many cool dies that you can buy. I've made all sorts of treat containers for showers, birthday, etc... Decorations, cards and envelopes.... It does everything!
ropo........I was wondering the same thing? I wrote to Accu-cut yesterday asking if their dies would fit in the BIGkick since they both use steel dies? They responded ........No.
I think I'll write and ask if the Sizzix ones do fit in the Accu-cut machines. I would think the Cuttlebug ones may not since they are much thinner. I'm also not sure if they are actual steel dies as the Sizzix ones are.
