Wow guys, I am so excited to see what you all have come up with. I just got home from work and icy rain that it is so nice to just sit and see what everyone has been up to. Awesome cards ladies. I love them all.
Hugs, Lisa G
Hahahaha....yeah, actually I was in WA state, in Bellingham and got back later than expected! I live in BC 5 minutes from the border!
WOW!!! Gorgeous samples from you both. I haven't read the girl with the dragon tattoo but I've seen previews for the movie and I believe you totally captured that character in your tag!!!
Samantha, I love your Edward & Bella cards - right down to his red eyes!
What a great challenge - I needed something to inspire me tonight and I have an idea just what I want to do!!!
My goodness, Carisa, I can't believe you haven't seen that movie...SOOOO good! I personally don't see why they're remaking it in Hollywood...the Swedish movies are AWESOME!
I only saw the Geisha movie, but I have heard even better things about the book.
Hehe, well, I also finished reading the book only a day or two before seeing the movie so it was FRESH in my mind! The imagery in the movie really is GORGEOUS, though!

Welcome to The Greeting Farm's Customer Challenge and Chit Chat night!
Our Theme this month is "A Night At The Bookstore". Keeping that theme in mind, we have 3 different challenges for you! (yes, 3!) Each catagory winner will be given a choice of 1 Clear TGF Stamp set as a prize!
The Catagories are:

So break out your TGF stamps and get busy making us some "book-worthy" projects! Be sure to post your pics in the SCS gallery using the correct keywords, and make sure to put up some pics in the chat thread tonight so we can all have a look-see! You can play along all weekend if you're not able to join us tonight. You have until MONDAY, Jan. 23rd at 12pm CST to upload and winners will be announced here and on the TGF Blog on Monday!
For those of you who will be chatting it up tonight, putting your thinking caps on and be ready for some trivia!
Here's what I came up with:
Fav book-The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (popular subject at my house, hubby even helped with stamp alteration ideas!)
Fav children's book- Harry Potter
Fav book-turned-movie- Alice in Wonderland
But enough about me, let's see what you guys got!!!
Find our TGF chit chat thread and join us!
My gosh, those are all fab, Rachel! I love how you used Tank with the creeper for the Dragon Tat one. Is that WS Paul mixed with grad Ian for the HP one? Fab...seriously! Just WOW!
Hey there! OMGosh...sorry I'm SO late! I chose to participate in the Favourite Book Turned Movie category and I used Memoirs of a Geisha as my inspiration.
Naomi, this is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! I'm so loving it!!!!
as you can see, I tried replicating the colours used on the cookbooks....was a little off with 2nd Edition but I think okay with the 1st Edition.
thanks for an interesting challenge - sadly I don't think I will have time to play along with the other two! But if I do, you can bet I'll be back with another post!
Hi everyone! I was wondering if I could get some help...I am trying to enter my card into the gallery but it isn't showing up when I search it? I have used keyword thegreetingfarm and the number of the challenge. I can see everyone elses when I search but not mine! Does it take time for it to come up? I put it on a few hours ago. Thanks so much everyone - love all of the creations so far!!

If you are not a fan club member I don't think SCS approves uploads on Sundays That's why we changed the deadline until Monday at noon. I'm sure it's there- we just won't be able to see it until tomorrow

Hi rachel!
here's one of my FAVE books turned to movie.... The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game Aka the Blind Side...
and it starred one of my fave actresses Sandra Bullock =)
The TGF stamp I had used was Elena! - she reminds me of Sandra's character Leigh Anne =)
In the 3rd grade I was introduced to the Robert Munsch books =)
and I've loved them ever since =)
here's my entry for
TGF - SCS - favourite children's book - The Paper Bag Princess
I LOVE it! My mom used to read to us TONS when I was little...this was one of the books that she read to us often...hence my blog name! Beautiful card and great representation of the book!

That is so funny! She does look like Sandra Bullock in the movie! Great card!
I created 2 cards for our Book Night. I played along with favorite Children's book and fave book. It was hard to choose just one (because c'mon lets get serious, its impossible lol) so I choose my favorite series.
As a child (and now), I loved the Beverly Clearly series featuring Ramona Quimby. They are several books entitled, Ramona the Brave, Ramona the Pest, Ramona and Beezus (the sister, who eventually got her spinoff, lol) What I love about Ramona is that she's a very resourceful and brave girl. She didnt let anyone push her around. If yoy havent read the series, i highly recommend it. Ramona the Pest Inspired by My Scrap Diary - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
The entries are absolutely fantastic.
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play. I was so sick yesterday and spent most of the day in bed.
Perhaps I'll play for fun during the week.
