Going to attempt to attach the PDF file here with the pattern for the triangle box that has generated so much attention in my gallery this week! Not sure if I know how to do this, but here goes!
Oh hey! I think it worked! I should mention that I obtained this pattern from the SU! demo website! For demos that want to find it there themselves, it's under Show & Tell, Pattern Library, then page 7 under Boxes!
There have been times that I have left comments for a particular card/project and asked in the comment how it was done, then I save it in my favorites and refer back to it to see if the person has responded. Sometimes, especially if it is an old post that i've come upon because I'm looking up a particular stamp set, the person doesn't see my post and doesn't respond. That is the main reason I have pm'ed someone and asked for directions without posting a comment on the card/project itself. It's definetely not because I haven't loved the item, so thanks for this thread and I will remember to post as well as pm. I just love all the great stuff you scs'ers come up with and love to CASE great ideas! (and I always give credit!) I'm just thankful that everyone I've asked questions of is so friendly and willing to help out those of us that are more artistically challenged!
sorry, put this post in the wrong thread.....I put it in the right one now, I had linked to the pdf and didn't realize I'd ended up in a new thread....now if I can just click my ruby slippers to get back to the original thread.....
Had a question about what I use to close the triangle box with or if I just use sticky strip? Then do I just punch holes and tie closed at the top with ribbon? Our SNAIL isn't strong enough to keep them adhered, but how else are people going to get the goodies inside unless they rip it apart. Ooohh, just the thought bothers me...
Well, what I'm doing with them is making them as my booking incentives. I'll have them in a basket and tell my customers they can pick one if they host a workshop and inside will be a note that tells them what freebie they receive. I just can't think of a way for them to get to it unless they pull it apart. What do ya'll think will work?
Thanks,
Angie
Angie, I only used a strip of sticky strip on the side where there's an extra tab that joins the 4 triangles together. I punch a hole in the top flaps and just tied it shut with a piece of twill tape. You could maybe even fasten it shut with a brad or two?
OK, now I feel silly! Tammy, I wasn't going off the same pattern as you. I guess there is another Triangle Box pattern going around that is nothing like this one. Sorry for the confusion. I'll have to give this one a try then test it out tomorrow at my workshop with the girls. Thanks again.
I missed this the first time around so I am really glad that I am not doing my job at work right now and am scoping out what's new on the forums!!! This is very cute - I love it!! Mary
