Well, I'm already late getting started on an OSW for March / Spring/Easter, but I'm sure I'll be able to do something with that theme, maybe even before the end of March!

Yes, I think a monthly theme is a nice idea for those of us who need a little inspiration. Spring for me is usually soft pastel colors. I tend to think of summer being for bright colors.

to post it on each page at the top, but when I missed being the top post I forgot! LOL

It took work for me to do it this time! LOL

I have the list back a ways, but it needed updating and a refresh!

I'm working on a set of OSW cards for my daughter. I had the paper cut way before Christmas but never did get the cards done. My daughter and granddaughters love horses. I can't remember what template I used, but I think it makes 15 cards. Here's the first three.

Great start on your western OSW.

I'm working on a (sort of) spring theme set that will make 15 cards. I have 12 done but have run out of steam so the last 3 will have to wait. Perhaps I can finish them tomorrow. I didn't really plan to make my own template, but it just sort of happened. Doing OSW is like an individual VSN! Takes a lot of time and jumping up and down to get pieces and to look for inspiration. I'll wait until they're all done to post. I'll post the template too altho it's not exact as I kept making changes.

Val, I lost steam with my Western Sky cards, too. Originally, it was supposed to make 15 cards. Somewhere along the line I managed to lose a few pieces and/or combined a couple pieces together. I ended up with 8. I may add a few more cards with a different theme.

Here's the last of the Western Sky cards: Western Sky OSW 8 by grammatroll - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I thought I was done working on this OSW today, but every time I walked by the table, they called to me, so I finally got them all done, photographed and uploaded. Whew! I used my own template - which I'll tweak and upload next week. It made 15 cards which were so much fun to make as I try to do each one differently. Next time I think I'll do a set following a minimal color scheme and use just a few elements/sentiments. They always look so elegant when others do them.

Here are the group photos of the OSW.
Part 1 - Cards 1 thru 5
Part 2 - Cards 6 thru 10
Part 3 - Cards 11 thru 15

As usual, my eye, my camera, and the computer don't agree on colors. The one sheet of dp is a lime or light olive green with blue, navy and white designs. The individual cards are also in my gallery, but without details. I'll try to get more info posted for each early next week.

Do you know what Val, I think my eyes are as yours and we must have the same camera and computer screen. They never agree on colours...

Great cards you've done. I love the last bunch.

Subbing! I am at work and will need to spend time going through this thread. We are having a gathering and I was thinking about doing a one sheet wonder but was looking for something that may have a 3D item too. So I will check and see if any of the links have anything like that. I will give credit at the gathering if I decide to use one of the many templates that are listed. Just not sure yet what I am going to do. Thanks for this thread.

Off the top of my head, the Au Chocolate pattern has a cute little purse to put the cards in. I don't have the link at hand.

Welcome!
Since VikkiJo had surgery (resulting in more disability than she began with), we've been kind of quiet here. I know a gal I can check with on some of those 3-D ideas. I'll Pm her now and post it here when I get a reply.

I want to do a new OSW - maybe in a Fall/ Halloween theme but can't think about it until after the grandtoddler has gone back home July 5th. I'm thinking that might be a good time to get ahead on some Fall/ Thanksgiving/ Halloween cards. What do you guys think?

Cheryl, I was in a stationary swap earlier this year. This is a link to the post listing a BUNCH of links to card holders of various types POSTAL! Stationery Sets Swap, 3+1

If this isn't what you're looking for, let me know and I'll see what I can come up with.

I wasn't sure if any one would respond since this is an older thread and so glad you did. lmcgraw01 not sure exactly what an Au Chocolate pattern is? Is it paper or the name of the design itself?? Thank you again ladies for you help.

Au Chocolate tote & cards OSW

Sorry, should have come back. It was the paper, but a beautiful set with a cute card purse as a gift option. Check it out. Tjhis was what got me started on OSWs.

And she kindly included a pdf, so you can download the cutting guidelines, which is especially helpful at first. I have since repeated this osw in about 7 different fashions, depending on my mood.

Welcome.

I had to giggle at your location. I've not seen anyone list those as their location but that's usually where you can find most of us at some point LOL

VikkiJo is having some major medical issues right now keeping her from creating.

I have a 4 yr old visiting for 4.5 more weeks so my creative time is limited. I plan on posting a OSW theme challenge on July 1st so be watching.

In the mean time, create your own OSW sets and show them off. We love to see how everyone works with the patterns.

I'm glad to see interest in OSWs here. I haven't been able to get back to making them - or even finishing my template from last time. I'm really not sure how I'm going to upload the template so it shows up. I don't think I can PDF it, but might take a scan to work Tuesday to see if I can do it there. I can't make PDFs at home. A photo of the template just doesn't come out clean enough.

I would be interested in a fall OSW challenge. I probably won't get around to doing one for another month or so anyway.

Welcome new OSW fans. This is a great way to make a bunch of cards for your stash.

Default Beginner OSW

Here's my one of my first attempts at an OSW - it's on my website. I saw one that I liked and changed it around a bit. I can't remember where I saw the original....sorry. I'm new at this and I promise to be better when I CASE something and modify. If it seems familiar to anyone, I can go look and see so I can give proper credit. Thank you.

Hi ladies...here is my take on the OSW cards. I made 11 out of a 12x12 piece of paper from K&Company. It's easier for me to use cardstock that has a pattern on both sides so I can just flip it over when I want a new design. I used a template I found when I googled OSW cards...

Lovely cards and all the little extra details you added!

Talking FALL OSW - with a twist!

Hey girls...

If you don't know already, One Sheet Wonder Challenges are an AWESOME way to do up a bunch of cards in a hurry.

Your Challenge if you choose to accept it is this....

FALL CARDS
with a twist.

Make fall cards, using any template you choose.

The Twist:
Do NOT use a traditional fall patterned DP.
NO falling leaves, sheaf of grain, pumpkin/ Halloween print - that kind of thing.
BUT the SHOULD be about Fall/ Thanksgiving/ Halloween.

You can use Stamps/ Stickers/ Images on your cards that reflect those things - just NOT in your DP.

Just thought I'd make it interesting. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Have FUN!

Your cards are beautiful! They don't look like they came from one sheet as you have made them so fancy. Good job!
