Default Stamping on Canvas bags

Has anyone tried stamping on canvas bags? If so would you give examples and what you used? Thanks! Julie Ann

I personally haven't done it but a friend of mine did some bags using stamps and the craft pads.

Also you could try to use fabric paints - I guess you could paint the fabric paint onto your stamp and stamp?

Hi Keri!!! I just saw some cheap ones on Oriental Trading and thought it would be neat to try, but wasn't sure where to start. Surely there is someone here who has done this?

(PS - I got your cute thank you card. Glad everything arrived - and I think big brother/sister gifts are so neat Glad the book was enjoyed! - Now if you just get to go to Target!!)

I did for my neices for Christmas Last year.
I used Crayon Kids and the Craft ink.
I also put their names on it also.

-washed it first
-then ironed it the heat set it after I was done stamping

Sorry, I don't have a sample of it. I didn't take a picture or anything.
I do know that they have been washed a few times and the color is still there. They turned out very cute. I put coloring books, paper, and Crayons in it.

Default acrylic paints and bleaching on canvas bags!

I made a canvas bag to experiment with acrylic paints like I did with T-shirts in "the old" days. My granddaughters loved it and took it from me for overnights. Also, I have bleached on a canvas bag using a bleach "stamp pad" AND using the new Clorox bleach pen! Try it for a great new look! But always heat set, and don't lauder for at least 72 hours. Also, I don't have any pictures as I was robbed right after I made them. :(
Have a great time and experiment!

I just made my second one. I used fabric paints and just brushed them onto my stamps with a foam brush. No heat setting required. I made one for my older daughter last year and it is in great shape still. I also used Crayon Kids and they are both so cute!

Great suggestions ladies!

Sheryl, I am anxious to see your samples in your gallery. I checked, but perhaps they are behind on approving uploads. I'll check back. I really enjoyed checking out the other items in your gallery! Wonderful!
