Default Stampin Up Build a blossom

This probably a stupid question, but here goes, do you stamp then punch or punch and then stamp. Mine don't look right.

Hi. Pam..Not a stupid question, we all wonder sometimes what to do with our products. You stamp then punch. Do you have the build a blossom stamp set?

You can also just punch with the blossom punch on regular card stock and run in an embossing folder. Have done this many times.

I suggest that if you are going to stamp them and then punch them out that you cut a narrow strip of cardstock, the size of your flower to stamp on and then punch them out. Depending on which size of flower you are punching, you will want to start at either the left or the right side...with the large petal, it will be the left, the small flower/leaf the right...try it out and you will see what I mean. Otherwise all your stamping will be wasted by punching through it with the rest of the punch!

Also, you don't always have to two-step the flower. I used the second step stamp on the same or lighter color card stock and then punched out..it looked great!

I saw a great tutorial the other day, where the lady punched out the image on cardstock of the entire punch. The then used the negative image to allign all the stamps together on a clear block. She inked the stamps and stamped the image on paper, and then punched them out all at once. Hope this makes since.
