Default Sewing On Card Stock

I need guidance on sewing on cardstok. What type of sewing machine? What stitch length? What type of thread? I have tried using my regular Pfaff machine with a longer stitch length and regular thread but I am not happy with the results. Help?

Hi Ellen!
I have a little machine that is specifically geared to cards. It was under $15 at a craft store. However, I know you can use a regular machine, try and search under techniques or resources. There are so many talented gals out there that have done this! Even with my machine however, I have noticed that it takes a little bit of effort so that the card looks nice and even. Hope this helps out a little!

You can use any sewing machine. But beware--If you are using thread with your machine, use a size 16 topstitch needle, If you are just using it to put the faux stitching in (without thread) any needle will do. I have a Bernina 200E and I have never had any problem with using it.

Good luck and enjoy!
