I'm afraid I haven't seen one and unless you can find a step-by-step with photos I'm not sure you'll do much better than her description. She's basically cut two of each letter and glued one to the front of the piece of acetate and the other exactly aligned over it on the back of the same piece of acetate. The strip is most likely scored to match the fold of the card and the insert piece covers up where it's stuck down to hinge as the card opens. Acetate has a springiness to it so it will "float" as the card is opened.

I just looked at the card, and I think you described it perfectly, Joanne. It is a neat looking card. Like she said, it probably took a little work to get those letters to line up perfectly without the glue showing through the acetate.

If anyone else is interested I found a video done by "dostamping" on Youtube showing how to make a card like this. Search for "pop up name card" on her youtube channel.

Hi, I'm a SU demonstrator in Australia. Our recent demonstator magazine had a card to construction using this method but spelling the word 'Dad' for Father's Day. The method description is accurate though. Hope this helps. Ciao Meg

I made a similar one that used lots of shamrocks rather than letters (same process, though) and I have the technique listed in my instructions to myself as
Valita's Pop Up card.
If you go online you will find various tutorials and videos for this card with many themes.

I will try that when I get home. I'll have to adapt your instructions to my MacBook that has no mouse, no right click, but I can highlight and go to edit and copy and paste. Thanks for taking the time to help me.
I like the idea of turning the store bought card inside out, so you can use the plain side for your own design. And cutting the cover so you can see the inside is always a nich touch. But I simply do not see the point of the acetate, which, when folded to the left, will have the name backwards and what's that about?

Ooh, thanks for sharing. I do really think I can do this one. Been wanting to figure out a way to do the pop up cards. How fun to see the recipients name pop when they open their card!
