I have used this technique before but I think there are variations on it. The way that I did it was to color onto the wrap with markers, spritz with water and then place the paper on top of the wrap. I think you can also wrinkle up the wrap and press it directly onto a stamp pad then your paper making sure that you maintain some of the ripples in the wrap. Don't know if that helps much. I think if you use glossy cardstock, the ink will grab the paper better and the wrinkles are more visable. You may have to experiment a bit.
