Red face microscope slides?????

O.k I saw some great micro slides with Festive Favorites and would love to know how to do it and where to get the slides. Are they just the ones you can order online? Do I have to prepare the glass with anything? Do i use stazon? Help I gotta know!

I didnt see the festive favorites ones, but i do have some info for you. I did a buy-in with my group. I am sorry that I cant tell you the site I got the slides from (for some reason, I have the info for all of the ones I found, and not the one I got them from--which was the cheapest) No, you do not have to prepare the slides or use StazOn. Cut cs to the size of the slide, stamp and color your imag(es). I put glitter on the slides and shake it off, it sticks by static cling. Sandwich all pcs. together and use sticky strip to hold them together and cover 'sticky' with either microbeads or dazzling diamonds.

Oh yeah, use two pcs. of cs so you can sanwich your cording between the two ans it will not shw under the slide.

Do you think my boss would mind if I just brought some home with me?- I work with them everyday.

HX-65/90083 $3.95 for 24 slides
HX-65/70185 3 rolls of foil tape $3.95

I just ordered slides from ebay. They were 3.75 for 72. This is the best price I could find.

Also, the instructions I have only require one slide. Obviously by doing the "sandwich" technique, you would only get 36 ornaments but doing then single you would get 72. I be an accountant, can you tell??? LOL

Here are the instruction I am using (posted by crzy2prple):

"I soaked the dominos in bleach a couple of days (mason jar with the lid screwed on). Stamped with Stazon, let dry (you can use a heat gun, but the domino will get very hot), colored with colored pencils, then sprayed with Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze. Make sure you are not to close when spraying, it will run if you are. Then I used E6000 (adhesive I found at Hobby Lobby, they keep it in the front by the registars or you can use crystal effects to glue the pin back on it. HTH"

Here is her post:

Hope this helps.

Does any one have a picture of the slides made up? I would love to see it. I happen to have a box in my cupboard from the old days when I did miniatures doll houses. Thanks

Default microscope slides

if you do a search under gallery you'll find a bunch of ideas. I just tried these for the first time last night. Took a while to get the hang of it, but they're cute. The ones that came out the best were the ones I put versamark then dazzling diamonds on the card stock before sandwiching it between two slides. The glitter shows thru nicely!!

Thank you web166, I did a search and they are just so adorable. Pulled out my box of slides and plan on spending the day tomorrow, making ornaments for all. I love this site!
