Default Magnet on Card

Has anyone ever done a card with a magnet on it? I have a great Halloween poem that involves a magnet and wondered how you adhere the magnet. Any suggestions?

I made a few, they look really neat, and I put them on with a bit of rubber cement. Just enough to hold it in place.

I think that Basic Grey sells card magnets. LSS was out of them today but they said they could order them. I know that isn't your question - I just thought I'd add it !

I'm not sure what kind or size magnet you're using, but I have used the photo corner punch to hold flat, business card-sized magnets that have images stamped on them to the card front. Since the magnet is removable, I try to be sure to stamp something under the magnet, so the card is still pretty after the magnet is removed. Hope that makes sense.

You can also get Aleene's Tack It Over and Over Again adhesive (think that's what it's called) to adhere it to the cardfront.

Glue Dots should work.

I have a magnet card on my blog...it's the April 15 entry. Go to Labels (right side of page), scroll down to Magnet: Bling and click. Great way to send a 'gift' card!

Hi, I've used magnets on several of my cards. I use the ones from Basic Grey. They already have the adhesive on them! Unfortunately, I've been to busy to download any pictures. Good luck! They are very easy to use!

A friend of mine secured a small cutout square of metal sheeting (from a hardward store) to the inside of her placecards (essentially sandwiching it between two card blanks for safety and security - apparently the cut metal was rather sharp), then she put her wedding magnets (her wedding favours) on them... I'm sure you'd need some good quality cardstock in order for it to hold up 'though.
