How the heck do you make long tags using the tag punch? I've seen several examples in the gallery but can't seem to find a thread that talks about it. Anyone know how to do this?? Thanks!!!
Cut a strip of cardstock slighly less wider than the tag punch... I think the tags are about 1 3/8" (I'm at work... can't check myself!) Slip the strip of CS into the top of the punch, then pull it through the hole until the other end of the strip is under the tag end, then punch. I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread with pictures of how to do this even, but not sure where it might be! HTH!
cut a piece of cardstock the width of the punch and a little longer than you want your tag to be. Stick your CS into the punch at the front and pull one end out the bottom. Make sure it's straight, then punch. You can make your tag as long as you want because it's hanging out the bottom and doesn't get cut off. Hope that's clear. You can also do this with your circle and other punches.
Oops. I guess I type too slow. Someone beat me to it. Just wanted to add that if you hate to measure like me, just punch out a tag and use it as a guide.

I'm curious-- I understand the regular tag punch idea, but what do you get when you use a circle punch. I must be missing something with this technique. Always looking to learn.

You end up with a strip that has rounded ends. I do this at the end of purse handle or to make labels. It looks almost like the dog tag punch but rounder.
