Layered single images. Stacked?: Techniques

UGH HELP!

I am trying to find out how to make a card that I saw and since I can't come up with the right words, it makes a search kind of tough. It has an image broken up into 3-4 layered, framed (?) backgrounds. So it looks like the one image was cut 3 times in square frames with a solid piece of cardstock in between each layer. Does that make any sense at all? I THINK that what I need to do is "nest" 3 rectangle/sqare sheets of cardstock together and then stamp on them (while they are all on top of one another) and then do the same with the solid color, nest it? If anyone can decipher my own little language that I make up as I go along, it would be much appreciated!! If you have a picture, wonderful...if you have a tutuorial, well, let's just say you will be my new best friend

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but under
"Try a New Technique" there is one called Triple Stamping/Seamless Tiere
It sounds like what you are asking for. Hope this helps.

Sabrina, That link didn't work for me. Here's where I learned how to do the Triple Layer, from a blog. No video, but he does a fabulous job of exlaining how to do it, with all the dimensions, etc.

That's where I first saw the technique. I just used it in an ATC swap and it was a bit challenging due to the reduced size, but it came out okay. The effect is more dramatic though, IMO, in a card size format.

I think Frenchie is a hoot - I really enjoy watching her videos on YouTube.
