Default Jiffy Pop Popcorn HELP!

Hi Ladies,

I want to make some of the Jiffy Pop Popcorn gifts for my daughter's day care providers. I need some guidance. What diameter do you cut your circles and what do you use to cut the circles. I tried the CM circle cutter and it wasn't big enough. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Jodi

Default Jiffy Pop cover

I used a Tupperware top with an exacto knife. It worked great and was the perfect size. I also used another smaller Tupperware top to layer with. You could also use plates, saucers, etc. Just check out your kitchen.

I have the old style circle cutter from CM and used the template to figure what size circle I needed. It was almost a G but not quite. The first couple I did I just traced around the JP and then cut it inside the circle I had traced.

I made my circle just a little shy of 7" using a compass. Then stamped, etc. Then carefully lifted the metal edges to insert the circle and pushed metal edge back into place. HTH

I just love this site--I have a jiffy pop ready to create with, and I had no idea how I was going to get the circle--I think I'll use the compass idea. I found mine in the $1 central at Target. Didn't even think of getting it for the daycare folks--what a great and inexpensive idea for christmas. I just realized today I need to get something, as we'll be out of town starting the end of next week (I can't believe we're SO CLOSE to Christmas!!!!) EEEEKKKKKK!!!!!!

I trace the jiffy pop circle itself and then cut about 1/8 inch inside that traced circle.

Default jiffy pop

Call me crazy, but what are these jiffy pop things you are talking about? You have me intrigued. Could some one fill me in? Thanks!

LOL! Maybe you have to be old like me to remember these! Look up Jiffy Pop in the gallery search and see if it jogs your memory.

I was selling these at a craft show and a little girl came by and wanted to know what it was. This dates back to the days before microwave popcorn!
