Default inchies

Can someone explain inchies to me? Is it just anything that is 1 inch square, or is there something other special about them?

Default Inchies...

Inchies are little art pieces created on an 1x1 piece or paper or chipboard. You are only resticted by your own imagination. Inchies have been around a long time in the fabric/quilt world. If you google 'inchies' you will be reading for hours and finding loads of information and photos. Trades go on all over the globe too. Make some soon you'll have a ball!!

Ellen Hutson has a lot of stamps designed to make inchies on her website: http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/t...27s/Categories

You can use any size stamp though and just mask or cut off the 1-inch section. They're fun to make!
