Default How do you apply Pearl or Rhinestone Flourishes?

I love the look of those pearl or rhinestone flourishes BUT I can't seem to figure out how to apply them to a page or card without having them either stick to me or itself. It is always a mess. I tried google and youtube but seem to come up with how to make them not apply them.

Here's a method I found for this on youtube. She uses making tape, but I saw somewhere that people use clear packing tape, too.

I think the clear packing tape would work better because you could see through it and place your flourish exactly where you want it.

I did see that one, clear packing tape would be better. I am still a clumsy mess with any kind of tape. I would have thought there would be a trick besides tape that could potentially mess your whole page up.

I get around this by using big blobs of Liquid Pearls :-) I can make the "pearl" as big or small as I want, and even scrape it off if I get it in the wrong spot. I just have to be able to squeeze the bottle fairly accurately. I find it much easier than handling teeny tiny embellishments.

Dragonwold, There is a product called transfer tape that is made specifically for the purpose of transferring rhinestone (and other types) of designs. Here is a YouTube search that returned some videos that may prove helpful:

Painters tape or clear contact paper will work as well.

My question is how do you get the rhinestones or pearls to stay? The clear glue they are on turns loose and they fall off.

Some of those images come on a shaped adhesive backing vs each individual stone.

I might look at clear scotch tape and build the width with a couple of pieces. Less sticky, and may leave less residue on the stones.

Those look like good links QueenofInkland-I am going to come back to those.

Not sure if I'm understanding this correctly since all responses pertain to using tape but here's my imput. I use Quickkutz Quickstick like this:http://www.amazon.com/Memory-Keepers.../dp/B001BQ2HJO
I use it to remove the bling from the plastic sheet so it sticks to the stick and not me. I have not had a problem with good quality bling sticking to my project and have not had anything fall off. But I have used some dollar store bling that as I try to remove them from the plastic sheet the glue dot comes off. In that case I use a little jewel glue from the glue department in Michaels. Hobby Sue, these are jewels bought at either HL on LSS. And when they age, like a year or so they pop off more. I have stopped using the jeweled and pearled swirls because I know they will drop off after time.

This is sold by the sheet from the electric cutters like Silhouette or Cricut. You use it to transfer vinyl.

I would peel a little of the backing sheet and place it where I want it and then gently peel the rest of the backing sheet away.
not actually tried it, but that's what I would try first.
