Default Help with tilt card

I have a question for those of you who have made tilt cards before - do you have any helpful hints on how to make the tilt mechanism so it doesn't stick? I made my first one today, and although it works fairly well, the foam adhesive seems to catch on the sides of the square I cut out every once in awhile. Is there any way around this?
