Default Help! Stamping on glossy tiles.

Help! I've been trying to stamp on glossy tiles to make some trivets and wipe off boards. So far everything I've tried comes off. I've used stazon. And I've even tried sealing them wit matte spray sealer but the sealer peels and flakes off. Does anyone know how to do this and have the ink stay?
TIA!
Carla

I have actually only embossed on glossy tiles, maybe you want to try that?

I thought about that but I thought the embossing powder would melt if you set a hot pot on it.

I saw another thread awhile ago where someone was making the wipe off boards. She painted over the stamped image with Crystal Effects and said it worked great.

I will try that for the wipe off boards. Thanks!
Anyone have any ideas for the trivets?

I know that when I use to tole paint back in the day...we would lightly mist shiny crocks with Krylon before painting on them. I am sure that would work. It would give it "tooth".

This is how I do glossy tiles... Seems to work fine for me...

-Stamp the image with Staz-On ink.
-Bake them after you stamp your image at 350 degrees for about 10-15 min (I baked them in my toaster oven – however make sure you put tin foil underneath them.) Let them cool.
-Color with sharpies.
-Bake again (same time/temp) to set the color.
-Seal them if you’d like depending on use.
Note: Yellow sharpie might give you a bit of trouble and make the Staz-on bleed a little.

Thanks Ladies!
I will give these a try.
If anyone else has any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.
TIA!

Have you tried using Brilliance Ink? That has worked for me where NOTHING else seemed to work. Still needs to be heat set well, but so far so good on them not coming off (it has only been a month for me)

Default trivets

Carla, did the Staz-on with heat setting & sharpies work? I have a customer asking how to do these & I wanted to make sure I'm giving her good advice since I've never actually done it. Thanks for your feedback!

It's worked out ok. But the sharpie colors fade some. I'm still looking for something better but so far the staz-on and sharpies is the best method.
