Question Embossing With SU Inks & Versamark Ink

Is there a way to use both regular SU ink and Versamark ink to make it embossable and in color? I thought I read somewhere that you tap it on the Versamark pad then the regular one but I'm not sure! I don't want to ruin either pad! If anyone knows could you share your wealth of knowlege?!! Thank you!!

Yes, you ink in versamark first, then the classic. You could also stamp your image with classic first, then use a stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp again in versamark, and emboss that.

yes, I like inking first with the versamark, then go directly to ink up on your classic ink pad. This makes your classic ink sticky. Now emboss as usual with clear embossing powder. This looks like you've embossed with colored powder. I love it because the embossing always matches our colors!!!

I've been doing this for years and have not seen any damage to either tyope od inkpad. If you are concerned, you could use a brayer to apply the Classic ink after the stamp was inked up with VersaMark.

HTH and ...

I've been stamping first with color and then with the VersaMark. I've had good results that way.

I'd never heard of going straight from the VersaMark to the colored pad. It will be easier doing it in one step!

The Versamark ink does not damage the ink pad. You just have to remember to clean your stamp before going back to the Versamark pad if you're making more than one image! No need to fool with a stamp positioner to get it all lined up again and the clear embossing looks colored! Your colors are only limited by the number of ink pads you have. I've even done it with coloring different colors on the stamp using the markers after inking with the Versamark. How cool is that, multicolored embossing! --Martha
