Default embossing powder ?

How do you keep the embossing "flecks" away? I don't have one of those "static" thing-ees. Is there something else I could use until I can make it to the LSS. Thanks in advance, Cheryl.

Used dryer sheet, any anti-static cloth, or if your case is desperate, maybe puffing on a tiny bit of corn starch? I'd test the corn starch before using it on my actual project. It would take some brushing to get it off of a dark cardstock.

If I'm using regular ep (not fine), I don't do any treatment to the cardstock. A good thump on the back of the cardstock usually gets rid of the stray flecks.

Good luck!

You can use cornstarch or talcum powder (like baby powder). I used cornstarch for a while before I got an embossing pouch. I put the cornstarch in an old piece of pantyhose and tied it really tight to make like a little ball. The holes in the pantyhose are small enough to let out just enough powder. You can use a static dusting cloth (swiffer) after your done embossing to wipe away the excess powder.

I wipe the card with a little bit of baby talcum powder on a piece of cotton wool. After putting the ep on, I turn the card upside and tap it fairly firmly then, if necessary, I use a fairly fine paintbrush to gently flick off any remaining specks before heat-setting.
Find the baby talc works brilliantly!

I have used the dryer sheet and the powder. Personally, I think the dryer sheet worked best for me.
