I saw a lovely card that had a dryer sheet spread on the top of it. Now I can't remember where I saw it! :( Does anyone know what I am talking about? Thanks
I loved this technique when I saw it online, but I'm having trouble duplicating it. Does it matter what kind of dryer sheet I use? I got some used ones after laundry was finished today, but when I tried it the adhesive didn't come through the sheet enough to hold the glitter. I was using a Xyron to adhere the sheet on. Any advice?
I use the sheets after my laundry is done. I then run the cardstock that i am going to put the dryer sheet on through my Xyron. I then adhere the sheet and rub the glitter on the dryer sheet that is adhered to the cardstock. The glitter sticks very well for me.
Talk about deja vu. I was going through a stack of swaps from an event that I attended years ago. The first card that made me really stop was one that had used the dryer sheet. It used poppin pastels under the sheet for color instead of markers (as in the tutorial). It's an awesome card and such a fun technique to experiment with.
Dryer sheet cards not good for asthmatics or fragrance sensitive people
These cards are lovely but please be careful who you send one to. I would not appreciate one of these cards as dryer sheets give me respiratory problems and migraines. I hate it when I go outside and smell them in the air because a neighbor is using one. The smell is so strong that I can't imagine they don't still have fragrance in them even when "used." Send with caution!
