note books
5 stamped welcome signs if all sell will take special orders
magnets

The show is from 10 - 3 on Saturday only with 38 vendors will 20 each of these items be enough? I don't want to sell completly out in the first hour but really just don't know what to expect. Also we are in a small town 30,000 people (if that matters)

Thanks for you help
Do you have a stash of cards? If so, I would bring cards as well. If you are lucky enough to sell out in the first hour, you can sell cards the rest of the time.

Hope, I think the real answer is you just absolutely don't know and can't predict what will sell and what won't. It can be different with every show you do. If you really are going to sell out of an item, maybe you can hang on to the last one and keep it for a sample and take orders. Someone could come in and think the beaded pens are the perfect gift for every one at school or in the office and buy them all or you might not sell a single one. It's always interesting! Good luck with your show.

I do have a stash of cards and also lots and lots of retired paper from Su! that I think I will bring as well. Thanks for your suggestions. I was positive that 20 of everthing would be enough and then today I started getting nervous that I needed more

Default Craft Show Answer

Just like previous answers you've received, you just can't predict what will sell and what won't from show to show. We've been doing craft shows for 10+ years. What I tend to do is take supplies to make a few more of each item if something sold out. Have the supplies cut out and ready, so all you have to do is assemble. I've had to do it at some shows, and other I didn't. Sometimes at a really SLOW show, I'd just go ahead and put the items together because I didn't have anything to do, then they were ready for my next show. Don't forget to take pictures of your items and post them here! We'd love to see them!

Hope this Helps!

I am in Ohio. In my town it seems like people want things that they can use and not just sit around. I haven't really gotten into trying to sell paper crafts yet. I am going to try this year. I usually sell kitchen towels with the crocheted tops, nylon scrubbers and cotton dish rags. I also did a little bit of plastic canvas, crocheted pins and cross stitch. Just bored with what I was doing so I am trying to switch things around.

Good morning, I live in Bali where I cannot buy those tumbled tiles, my question is can I make coasters from normal tiles? Where can I see a tutorial?
Thanks

Ah, how lucky you are! Live in the heaven!! I LOVE Bali, but can only go visit...
Anyway, I am not sure if you can use regular tile, but you can find stamp on tile tutorial under resources. Or click below link.

Just thought I'd share my sales for the craft fair.

I made 40 small pocket notebooks.

Just made a cover and took the front of the notepad and stuck it in.

It was really quick, I also borrowed all my daughters stickers for the fronts.
Really simple designs a scrap of paper and a sticker.
Use bright coloured card.
Each one only took 3 mins to make, yes that fast.

Well the were only 3" by 2" but I sold the lot.

They cost me about 40 cents to make and sold for 1$

What was funny was there were not that may people there, but they were just snapped up. So cheap and cheerful must be what people want right now.

Bali, that is amazing! What takes you there?

As far as the tiles go, you need tiles that aren't glazed. Bathroom or kitchen tiles tend to be highly glazed, so water would roll off of them. The unglazed ones are somewhat absorbent, which is what you need in a coaster, I believe. I hope that helps.

Pretty things! I like your dry erase boards, especially the one with the blue Upsy Daisy flowers along the bottom! Pretty idea! I have some tiles in the garage I could use if I'd get them out!

Hi, I believe the cones you are referring to are the hot chocolate cones I make. They are the wilton cake decorator plastic cones and I fill them 2/3 full of hot chocolate mix and then a thin layer of chocolate chips or crushed peppermint and then topped with marshmallows to make the "ice cream" top. Add a tag and they sell great. Thanks for your nice comments

I think it depends on your location & what you are selling. I try to add my material costs together, then double the price. if it seems to high, lower by 10% at a time until you find a competative rate. Some items you will make more profit, others not as much. if you can list some of your items, that may help us give you suggestions.

I'm such a newbie, want to do corner book marks, treat boxes, stamped coasters, stamped can coolers, butterfly transparency pins, flip cards, etc.

I'm in maryland about 30min from DC craft shows are generally at public venues or churches and I have friends who do very well. Now my brain is just going in circles as to what I can get into to create! DH will be (and is) traveling alot so I might as well get busy and get creating.

Thanks so much you guys are really kind!

Default I made a corner book mark!

Just made two of the corner book marks, a bit crude but it is my first try, now I know how they work and how they are made, it should be easier to recreate them, I can so use scraps for this project! Great! Thanks again everyone!
