[QUOTE=heggestad;11323134]Shark
I wasn't on the ball when I made mine, so I don't have any pics, but here is a link to one that is very close to what I made.

I am very inspired to try and do one of these. But I'm not quite sure how the countdown part works. Do you put velcrow on the back of the #'s and give them a set of #'s? How does that part work?

Hi Ladies!

Just wondering what you charge for the nugget tins (that hold 9 nuggets) with the hinged lids and clear tops? I've looked thru this whole thread (I think my eyeballs are bleeding) and only found a couple of references to nugget tins. The ones I saw were sold for like $5. Isn't that a bit on the low side? I don't have a clue what to charge. My stuff is going to be in a shop, not a craft fair/sale. We're out in the boonies and don't have any near us!

I also think $5 is too cheap. How much are the tins? Aren't they about $2 each (shipping included)? Then the candy and the paper (at least $1). As stated before, my general rule is to take the material cost and multiply by 3. That would put you at $9 and that's pretty pricey. I would probably charge at least $7 or $8.

Hi Alissa,
Here is the poem I used for mine...

When the Tooth Fairy
heard you lost a tooth,
Do you know what she did?
She made a map to visit you
'cause you're a special kid.
First she got your home address
and checked her fairy map,
Then she flew to your place
where she saw your brand new "gap."
Of course, she took your
worn-out-tooth,
just like she's always done.
But she's left you something
nice instead to help you have
some fun!

I saw this one, too, but didn't use it.

In this box I will lay,
the little tooth
I lost today.
Please dear fairy,
tonight as I sleep
leave me a coin.
My tooth
you can keep.

Here's a link to the picture of some I made for a craft fair, last year. Sorry, I don't have a better picture or a picture of the inside.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=95314

Hope this helps, somewhat....

Sharon

I'm just jumping in to tell anyone interested that Oriental Trading has the plastice test tubes on sale here. http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/se...&N=0&x=17&y=14 These make up cute favors for Halloween, if you put m&ms in them or other candy. Oh and if you order $49.98 worth of stuff shipping is free this weekend. So I ordered small boxes of crayons and some jumbo clothespins also. Enjoy!

Hi Alissa,
I got my tins from the $ spot at Target, they had candy/gum in them. You have to watch for them, not always there. I've also got them at the Dollar Tree, but those are a little bigger (also filled with candy).

I set up a booth this past weekend. I sold $130 worth of stuff and I thought I was doing good. But by looking at Beth's post my mouth just kinda droped open. Alot of my stuff was smaller items. Anyone wanting to see some of what I made can check out my blog. The best seller for me were the test tubes. Sold all but 3 of them.

Beth, What kind of premade scrapbooks did you have? I was thinking of doing that when I do a craft show in November.

most of my premade scrapbooks were made from my bind it all (5x5 or 6x6) or from scrapbooks from the target dollar spot. I just made different ones: Halloween, Christmas, baby, friends, girl, summer, school days. I will post pics once I upload to the computer.

These are all great ideas, but is anyone having trouble finding time to make all of these wonderful goodies? How do you find the time to make it all? I am getting carpal tunnel from trying to make all of it!

Try a discount tile store or Home Depot. I think I got mine at HD. They came 9 to a box. I made up sets of 2 and 4, as I sell in my shop to seniors. They do pretty well.

Sorry, I haven't been back here for a couple of weeks. I used magnets and paperclips to hold the numbers on. I did #'s 0to9 plus extra #'s 1,2,0. Hope this helps.
