Also you can make mini survival kits . Teachers kits, headache kits , babysitting kits stuff like that.go into here and check them out. You can modify them if you want or customize it for someone.

Hard candy works as well.

I LOVE THE SURVIVAL KITS!!!! What a great site thank you!!! O the wheels are turning now LOL

Heather, that isnt a bad deal...8 cards + tin for $16...just remember craft show goers like nice "round" numbers...like $15 dollars. Fewer singles to keep track of.

Wow, who else has ideas??? You ladies are SO awesome!!

What do you mean by 2 x 2 tile decorations? Sounds interesting!

just submitted my application for my FIRST EVER craft fair this fall! yay! I was hoping to get one small one in this summer possibly.

Anyone have any good suggestions for summer themed items?

This thread is GREAT! And as an FYI I've been recently selling my handmade cards: 3 for $10. People have really started to go ga-ga over them, as they pay MUCH more at a store like Papyrus or Crane Company. And even Hallmark now charges like $4.50 for some of their cards?

Anyway thanks again for all the ideas ladies. This has been great!

I plan on doing my FIRST craft show this fall/winter.
I really need help on pricing.
I made some beaded pens (RSVP). What would you price those at?
I love to get an idea of what everyone prices theirs.
Also for little (1 1/2 x 1 1/2) keyring post it notes and for candles (that you stamp on tissue then heat onto candle or with the rub ons)
thanks!

Subscribing.....thank you to everyone for sharing your great ideas. I recently moved and had my first in-home holiday open house last November. There were 6 "vendors" - including two stampers. We had a good turnout for our first year but I'd like some fresh ideas for this years event.

hello everyone...still loving this thread. I was just accepted into my 1st craft fair this summer! I am thinking I will try and make some 4th of July Themed Items. Was wondering if anyone knew of some good 4th of July or Patriotic themed DP from a particular brand that I could buy?

Anyone else doing summer time craft fairs?

Yes, I have a spring market sale coming up. First one, so making cards, paperclip bookmarks, some covered note books. Will see how it all sells. My main focus is on a simple make-and-take to get ppl interested in stamping and sign up for a class or host a workshop.

Has anyone done demonstrations at a show?

Wondering if it draws people back to your booth if you do a demonstration a couple of scheduled times during the day. Maybe demo sticky cut letters and duo beads or something.

Has anyone done this? And what was your result?

Fantastic sharing you gals! Thanks to everyone that has already shared!!!

I have been making a mug with the matching coaster for craft fairs. I am using the SU rub ons and attaching a note that says hand wash only. Then I fill the mug w/candy bars and flavored coffee or tea, set the mug on the coaster and wrap in cellophane. Dress it up with some rafia and you are set. I have been having luck selling them for $12/set. People seem to like them.

these are great ideas! I too will likely be doing the paper clips, clipboards, cards, all with summer/spring theme. I wonder if 4th of July things will sell very well? Nervous to make a lot as if they don't sell I will be stuck with a bunch of USA crap

Hello there from a seller and card maker to die for!!....I do go to all the festivals around the Northern CA area and yes, sale cards and journals/wcards to match. My cards sale for $5.00 each and my jornals are sold for $25.00. I usually walk away with totals of $350.00, I kid you not. I do very well and have been asked back many times since starting this. You want to make sure you atleast make enough to pay for the renting of the booth and a profit, if not, it's not worth it. I also have racks about town and sale from them during off season, so constantly card making and loving it. I keep a inventory of a 1,000 since it does take around 5 hrs to make each one. And cards in Hallmark mostly range at $7.50 per card if they look close to mine, so think I am charging at a fair price & that includes tax. Thought I would put my 2 cents in...hope the best for you!! It's hard work to do the booths, but can really be worth it! Word of caustion...watch your cards...just like anything else in stores....their are theifs out there that will also take cards (unbelievable!) had 53 cards taken when my back was turned...Again, best of luck and just have fun!

No I don't seal them with anything as I don't feel comfortable with people putting the mug directly to their lips. So when I wrap these in cellophane and tie them up I tie my business card into the bow with hand wash only written on the back. It lets the customer know how to wash and gives me free advertising at the same time. It is a win win.

Rub ons for the tiles!!!! I never thought of that. Do you seal them too? Let us know how those work out for you when you get them done. I just love those rub ons and have to start thinking of all the different ways to use them!
I've done stamping on tiles and I liked it but some of mine kind of ran because I used the wrong ink (I was going to give it a try and see what happened and it wasn't pretty!). Rub ons would be easier for sure.

I made items for two fall craft fairs in 2006 and will never do it again. Three of us went in on the first booth and no one made more than $45. I did the second one alone and made $50. I had individual cards, boxed Christmas cards, pocket calendars, 3x3 cards, gift bags with matching tissue paper, gift card holders and some other items. It just isn't worth the time it took to make a large supply and I spent way, way more money than I made on supplies. I've find it much more profitable to sell to people I know.
